“Well, f*ck,” I mutter under my breath as I take in about six dozen warrior wolves that have slowly managed to creep up on us from all directions. It’s not that I’m not sitting in a vehicle that could probably plow right through them and take off down the road, it’s just that I’m not usually in the business of running from a fight.

But… we are outnumbered, and they are all on foot, it seems, whereas we are in a perfectly fine vehicle.

And only a f*cking moron would stand right in front of me as I pull this transport vehicle around and start heading the other direction.

No, it would be absolutely idiotic for me to ask my wolves to get out of the vehicle and go fight against these growling, snarling warriors when we can simply drive away from here.

“We should just go,” Cooper says, and I one hundred percent agree with him for once.
