It’s the biggest night of my life so far, and I’m so distracted by the discovery we made in the forest yesterday, I can’t even enjoy getting ready for it.
“You’ve really got to stop thinking about those stupid Dark Eclipse wolves,” Alice says as she works on my hair. “You’re going to miss out on all of the fun of the Moon Goddess Ball because of them.”
“I know,” I tell her. She’s right. I wish I could shake this feeling, but ever since I saw all of those clothes in the woods, I just haven’t been able to get it out of my mind that there are so many more of them than there are of us, and they’re so much more prepared than we are.
“Well, you look amazing,” Alice says. “Your makeup is on point.”
