It seemed like a good day to celebrate my triumph over Stygian now she was down and out, but I was kind of bummed that Quinn was in prison, Kristen was gone and I had to spend the rest of my days in the infirmary while a machine regenerated my skin. The therapy went on for so long!

It felt like needles driving their way back and forth on my skin, the doctor cautioned me to stay put. I had to be spotless, he said.

I walked through the hallway with my hand cautiously on my side although I felt nothing I always imagined getting jabbed by some random stranger or taking a sucker punch.

I received nods of approval from passersby, the whole base knew about the fight and how I nailed the head of the Lumen operation, I always put it in my head that I've had help.

"Hey Darcy, come sit with us" A boy pats a spot in between him and another, they were part of the red squad, and easy on the eyes, I blushed.

"No, thanks"
