Hi there, I’m GGP, founder of Gravity Tales! At the same time, I’m also the translator of many series such as Demon’s Diary and today, I’m here to announce that I will be picking up another series, the new series by I Eat Tomatoes!Over the past two and half years, I’ve translated or translation checked over a thousand chapters across a multitude of series, from game stories to tradition cultivation epics to even modern city novels. Yet, beyond being a translator, I’m also a fanatic reader, reading hundreds of novels in the time that I’ve been translating. Of these novels, I devoured Swallowed Star as well as other IET novels from start to finish. I think that everyone’s seen IET’s work such as Coiling Dragon, Lord Xueying and grew along with the story. However, the new novel this time is quite a bit different from the previous novels in that this will be more of the Xianxia genre. Definitely going be a challenge but I’ll try my best keeping up with IET!

Escribe una reseñaSeeking the Flying Sword Path is written by the famous Chinese author, I Eat Tomatoes (IET). IET is famous for building extensive worlds as he slowly expands the lore of the world as the plot progresses. The story borrows from traditional Chinese legends, making it appear as a fresh world to those unacquainted with Chinese legends. The development of the story introduces various factions, both good and bad, with time. The story is also enriched by the different interests of various factions, along with the black sheep in them. The protagonist is a family person, who abhors demons for reasons that are explained slightly further into the story. As a man of justice, we slowly learn of his history that brings him to his present state. It's a very fresh take on the usual troupe of starting from zero. Like the title suggests, he uses flying swords both to attack and defend himself. It adheres closely to the romantic notion by ancient Chinese to fly on swords to immortality. The story is still in its infancy but I'm confident IET will expand the world and give us pleasant surprises like he usually does. Join the protagonist with his friends, family, and lover in his journey towards immortality!
Readers are in for a world of pain as far as cultivation terms are concerned. Although GGP's translation is acceptable. He leaves a lot of terms in pinyin. I myself had to do a lot of research to understand a lot of terms in BTTH. I mean Dou = Battle. Wang = King ( maybe?) Huang=? I only know that Di = Emperor ( From AGM ). As far as IET's novels are concerned a lot of mythologies are included if you want to enjoy the story you have 2 options. 1) Convince GGP to do what RWX does. 2) Search for it yourself. As far as the novel is concerned I believe IET ain't screwing it up. So enjoy my fellow readers!
So GGP goes and picks up a Novel, Promising 10 chapter a week, so we can see why Demons Diary was cut down to 1 or 2 chapters every 2-3 weeks Also, For the love of god stop using Pinyin terms, just Translate them, Its not as bad as "World of Cultivation"'s Translation, But its still pretty annoying In any case, its an IET Story, So its going to be a fun ride, i dont think its Going to have any relation to Stellar transformations characters until near the end (much like his older stories)

IET is my favorite writer. The translation is okay, don’t ruin the review with prejudice. There is only one pinyin, which is zhenyuan. it didn't block my reading, it's a great novel. every c-novel lover should read it!
This is a refreshing read about a sword cultivator. It starts when he returns home after adventuring for the last 6 years. The MC has morals and isn't like in some of the other novels where he is a completely shameless b*stard. It is another great novel by I eat Tomatoes. There are also hints of romance and it isn't some harem novel it is the story of two cultivators who grow closer together as they suffer through adversities together. All in all it is a great read.
I truly love IET's novels. Personally his work with laws and breakthroughs are fantastic. Strangely, he is known for his grand and expansive worlds but i feel the starts - or maybe the early middle - of his novels are the best. When people first start training in laws but it hasn't reached universe breaking levels. Anyways very good novel with a friendly MC and cultivation system which is unique and although the sword stuff is reminiscent of Desolate Era its a bit different. I do want him to do another elemental one like coiling dragon next though.
The novel is great, but the translation and dialect seems weird at times.......... . Also all the characters seem to use the same tone..........
Finally out of the zillion cultivation clones something original. Unique hero, that is powerful but does not feel like he has a plot armor, convincing romance, realistic characters and interactions, a plot that moves on without feeling like the author clones episodes (looking at you library of heavens path). Defiantly, something better then most of the offers out there.
As you would expect it's another copy paste novel by IET with some minor modifications. Demons are evil as they feast on humans. Act of killing humans make you accumulate sins and hence bring the wrath of Heavens. But if Humans feast and kill animals as a part of food cycle the sins accumulated are almost negligible. You see MC is someone who hates evil. By evil I mean the act of feasting on young human children. Making children orphans, etc. But the great part is that the evil is only limited to food cycle of Demons. Because MC himself enjoy the meat of animals. Tell me when humans kill animals and eat them...isn't that the same evil humans in the novel blame Demons for? I'm not some PETA ambassador or anything. Heck , I enjoy non-vegetarian food myself. Just saying that the author should try to be neutral instead of only calling Demons as pure evil. It's food cycle as far as Heavens are concerned. Author can't say that those eating fish are evil but the ones eating chicken are saints. Or can he ? Well , he exactly says that. The novel is full of such great logic.
Really happy bout a new novel by my favorite Asian author but I have mixed feels bout that TL. Mentioning Demon's Diary but it's barely updated! One of the most popular series imo and not being put up to show it's true potential. This makes me insecure bout the TL even though the history and quality of GGP's works are high. How will time be split will one drop as the other get popular? Don't know anything about the story so but I'm optimistic. My 3stars are because of my mixed feeling due to the translators past (and ongoing) disappointments regarding upload of novels.

I Eat Tomatoes is a veteran and it really shows, this is a cultivation novel that has something so many mediocre novels lack. A world where Common sense exists. Antagonists and secondary Characters aren't completely suicidal and respect the mc's strength, the MC doesn't pointlessly annoy or provoke people and actually carefully conceals his strength. Best of all it doesn't drag out what the audience wants endlessly, the couple get married happily without taking thousands of chapters, the mc has reasonable strength from the start, the revenge that drove the mc has been partially achieved and so much more. This is a novel with incredible potential. looking forward to the future
i read 60 chapters in the raw and it looks promising ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
One of the few cultivation novels that actually make a difference. Qin Yun is no cripple, who is rejected by his family, just to rise to sudden power to beat everyone to a bloody pulp. He is also no child, which acts wise beyond his years (Chapter 1 - Age 21). There are no stale cultivation "numbers" (realm 3 stage 10!!) and demonic beasts are not just some sort of currency the MC can use to power up beyond normal means. The world is deserving of being called a Xianxia novel and the means of fighting are colorful - and don't need random manuals of increasingly high grades (mortal/earth/heaven). The MC is neither arrogant, nor cruel beyond common sense. He actually cares about his family and friends (or partner), even after 100+ chapters. They haven't become an afterthought just yet. If you need some wholesome story of cultivation, you should give it a try.
It is a good read if you are into the cultivator type of novels, i personally recommend this to those who are looking for a entertaining novel.
I find it a good read. Different from other novels here. Wonderful story and well developed characters. Not your wishy washy romantic or too op mc here. Overall i find myself looking forward every evenings for an update. I hope it could release 3 times a day.
Since the translator ask me to renew my review, here we go! Like many other book of IET, we get a talented hardworking MC. he use a sword (flying sword). up to chapter 170 there is no separation with the main girl or the dead of MC Parents. well if i can say more, if u like D.E or Lord Xue Ying(?) then u will like this novel. Ps: lets hope this one does not turnout like ST
Revelar spoilerThis is an amazing IET story. Particularly just an IET fan and how his unique way of expressing the Dao makes us immersed in history, to the point where we want to find our own Dao! This story brings a righteous MC, who follows his heart in all things, regardless of circumstances. The created world is easy enough to be understood, and the way karma is used, avoids those annoying plots with the strong bullying the weak. Anyway, another amazing story of IET, just READ!!!
I Eat Tomatoes is like a freaking machine. Out of all the chinese authors he is undeniably the most stable. I've liked every one of his novels without exception. Super hyped for this. Also, I would like to request the translator GGP to please write the basic and frequently used terms in meaningful English and not pinyin. Terms like zhen yuan, dou, wang etc are extremely difficult for readers like us who are completely oblivious regarding knowledge of chinese to understand. Anyhow, best of luck :)
