Capítulo 8: Don't punish me with your silence

Ivy's POV

Wow! Look at yourself Ivy! You can't even communicate with your sister! It will be more funny with Ivan! I went upstairs, to my room. I opened the door and it's same as it was 5 years ago. I went to the bathroom to have a quick shower.

I was drying my hair and I accidentally looked out of the window. From the window of my room I could see what is going on in the next house. There I could see the person I never ever wanted to see again in my life, Jake! He is smoking a cigarette, sitting in midst of an ocean of papers, holding a pen. He saw me looking at him and he smiled. A weak smile! I didn't return the smile! I walked towards the window and drew the curtains.

Why? Why I have to face him after all these years? I ran away from my home, this city and my family because of him.

Jake's POV

I was on cloud nine when I came to know that Ivy is coming back. After 5 years, my bestfriend is coming back. But as soon as I saw her , my heart started aching. She is not the Ivy I knew. My bestfriend,who would always smile no matter what. She has changed a lot! She no longer cover her scar. Even if not intentionally, I am the reason behind her pain… I really don't know how it happened! I am the one who clicked that photo… it was indeed my social media account…but how? I didn't do it! She was not even ready to talk with me that two days.

On the third day after that incident when I came looking for her Rose aunty told me that she went to France for higher studies…It was her dream to become a member of National basketball team, but…

She is a business woman now…

And I am an author… my pen name is Pheonix. No one expect Mom, dad ,Rose aunty and Eddy uncle know this. Everyone appreciate my works but… for me it's incomplete without Ivy.

I messed up her life… it's true that I wanted her to not hide her scar … but not like this…

The next second she saw me threw the window, she drew curtains. I still remember how she fought with Ivan for this room just because of this window. The only reason why she chose this room was that window wich faces the window in my room.

Ivy, I am ready to bear any punishment you give, but please don't punish me with your silence…
