Austin groaned as his head kept beating as if some drums were constantly playing in his head. He painfully opened his eyes to find his parents watching him anxiously. Scanning his body he quickly summarized that the only injuries he had were his beating head and his pride for passing out over nothing.
"Was someone hit?" That was the first thing he said, he only remembered the gun firing, and since he wasn't hit someone else could have been.
"Nope, the bullet went stray and they hightailed out of here soon after that," Daniel said from behind his parents. Austin shifted his head to look at Daniel only to groan with pain.
"Are you okay, son?" His father asked him as he helped him sit up
"Yeah, just my head a little bit there. It happens when a bulky guy tackles you to the ground," He said with light humor to ease his parent's worried.
