"Is someone going to tell me what happened here?" Elias asked in a low menacing tone, but no one answered.

Sarah was thinking about what she was going to say to do some damage control when Adam spoke,

"Your cousin here. Was just telling us a nice family story about how they think Sarah isn't good enough for you, and how she's after your family's money. You know the drill, evening soap opera, rich family, poor middle-class girl..."

She glared at Adam and he glared back not caring who heard what he thought about all this,

"If you were planning to stay silent about this. Well, then I'm not! You're a hundred times too good for him and he knows it," Adam said in a furious tone

"She is," Elias said without missing a beat, "And I know it,"

"What the hell, man. Are you in love with her too? Is that why you're making all this fuss," Cade said with disgust as he held his cheek in his palm,
