Nephrite's mind regained its clarity, and as he woke up, something filled his mind with a weird ringing sound, before it promptly vanished.
His sixth-sense reported his condition. A few broken bones, which were almost healed, torn muscles, and an unsightly scar on his thigh were the price.
After he woke up, he didn't open his eyes, but used his sixth sense. Something had changed moments before he had blanked out. It wasn't a qualitative change, but more of a realization.
Sixth-sense was not about the five other senses or their manipulation after all. It encompassed ethereal senses that he was sure he had only scratched the surface of. He had a hunch that Fox had unknowingly created a branch of the sixth-sense.
Maybe even more experienced huntsmen had this part, but he was sure there were not many that had the same level of sixth sense he had.
His sixth-sense was an amalgamation of a few terms, one of which he could confidently assess was a danger sense, 360° awareness, and now something related to time. Maybe he had just accelerated access from his brain to his eyes.
He didn't know, so he tried to find out.
His eyes opened, and he realised he was in his bed. The guys were already asleep. And so he played with his sixth-sense, barging into a room filled with sleeping girls wasn't smart and he was sure he would not fall asleep.

'Damn, week of effort of hellish training outshined few battles to the death.' A hint of bitterness appeared on his face when he looked at the Pillar Mastery skill.
It saved his life and both of the teams' after all; he didn't regret the pain and suffering he had to endure.
He distributed 5 points into his vitality and 7 points into his physique. Boosting them to 30 and 65, respectively. The long-drawn out battle was a waking up call.
Aura was a finite resource during a multi-hour battle. Each wisp was useful, but was far outshone by physical strength once stamina comes into the equation. He even thought about creating a skill that would boost his Aura regeneration.
Once he did though...

The requirements were quite harsh for a simple skill, but it boosted his confidence. The harsher the requirements, the better the rewards tend to be, especially with this system.
The feeling of sudden power had passed while he was thinking about his future move, and he utilized his sixth-sense.
When he closed his eyes, he tried to sense everything using something different; he locked every other sense and concentrated on the one he needed.
Soon, he could 'see, feel, taste, smell and hear' everything in his room, despite locking them. It was an odd feeling. The 'taste' wasn't him tasting wood or something else, but he just knew what it would taste like.
It sent shivers down his spine once he 'tasted' his own flesh. His body reacted to his disgust and 'taste' disappeared from this state altogether.
It wasn't a simple 360° perception, if someone stood before him or behind him, he would be able to see them from every angle. This is in addition to other 'senses' he had in this state. The 'sphere of senses', a temporary name for his state, moved.
Initially nothing, but as he removed more than just the 'sense' of 'taste,' there was a movement. It was very slow, and he got rid of everything except the 'sight'. The sphere moved and he could see the second floor.
There, he saw Pyrrha sleeping unharmed.
'I will apologize to her in the morning...' He had seen things he swore to never disclose to Pyrrha.
Once he returned from this state, his senses were back, and his mind was tired. Not long after, he drifted off to his dreamlands.
...
"When do you think he'll wake up?"
"He should be awake very soon, at most a day or two."
The voices next to him woke him up.
"Ah, you are finally awake!"
He opened his eyes. Two hands had enveloped him in a warm embrace.
"Yeah I am back, what happened, were you alright?"
"Mhmm, the moment you saved me, the taijitu would have bitten your leg off if it wasn't for professors Apollo's arrow killing it in time."
"I'll need to thank him then." He said as he smiled and embraced her as well.
"Well then, it seems that your friend is fine. I'll check up on him later today to see if there's anything wrong." A man said with a glint in his eyes, before he shook his head and left. 'That smile...'
After that man left, it left them in a bit of an awkward spot before he asked about others. The settlement had lost 12 warriors, and had 250 injured to varying degrees. It was an incredible result, the Grimm had outnumbered them more than 1000:1.
Team CFVY, along with Nora and Ren, were training under instructor Jerry. Everyone was training hard, but Ren was training even more. It was to the point where even Jerry, the man who loved pain and suffering just to get stronger, had to stop him.
Nora had tried to stop Ren.
...
"Please, Ren! You can't abuse your body like this!" Nora said in a desperate voice, Ren was nearby, laying on the floor covered in weights. He ignored her pleas and barely stood up before he swung his weapon.
"Ren!" She reached for his arm.
"Let go!" He yanked his arm away from Nora and lost his balance.
"I'm sorry, Nora, but you wouldn't understand." He said as he took off the weights, stood up and made his way to the cafeteria. This was his schedule: sleep for 4 hours, train, eat and train until his aura broke to pieces.
As she watched his disappearing figure, a tear ran down her cheek. "You dummy, I understand. I know." she said.
...
After Nephrite woke up, Apollo took everyone back to the academy. Everyone was visibly stressed, once they arrived back, not even a week later team CFVY took another mission. Ren trained night and day, struggling without the special nutrients that the meat brought.
If it wasn't for Nora, he would have woken up on the floor in the training room instead of their dorm.
Nephrite had become so consumed with his studies that his relationship had become somewhat frayed. Pyrrha chose not to interfere and plunged herself into training as well.
It got to the point where Blizzard dragged Ren with Nora to the cafeteria.
Neo felt the distress of the person she had spent her entire life with. Whenever she faced some difficulties in the past, he was always the one who helped her.
Now it was her time. No one from team RWBY and BRON could imagine the wave of emotions that was restrained by a Semblance after the battle.
Hell, they didn't even know about said Semblance, only some vague details from their friends. Only after talking to Apollo had they known that Nephrite and Pyrrha had almost died.
As part of Weiss's plan, she had first appointed a therapist and taken them there. Ren finally stopped his insane training schedule after a week and slowed down a bit.
Nephrite too gained some clarity back, mainly thanks to Neo almost knocking him unconscious after he was returning from the library at 3 AM.
...
Nephrite yawned as he looked at the clock. 'Almost level 45,' He thought as he stretched his arms and packed up more books about aura. With the access key he gained after the mission directly from Ozpin, he had access to books that only older students had access to.
When he was walking down the path that led to his dormitory, a shadow pounced on him when he was passing by a statue. His sixth sense had responded, but it was for naught as a small hand took his arm and flipped him over.
"Ouch, Neo what the hell are you doi-" She shut his mouth and dragged him off. As soon as she found a bench nearby, she placed him on the bench like a bag of potatoes and sat next to him.
'Tell me, what's wrong?' A sign appeared in her hands with the following words.
"Everything is fine. I just need to get stronger, that's all." She smacked him with the sign and he winced before it shattered.
'You never reacted when I did that. What's wrong?' Another sign appeared in her hand.
"It's just... A storm is incoming, I can feel it, but that shouldn't be possible."
'Relax, you have me and others, don't you? Even if the unexpected happens, there are thousands of professors and our headmaster to save us.' She patted his head slowly.
It was an incredible feeling, a calming one and different from Pyrrha's.
"Thanks." He smiled and closed his eyes. 'Right, others are much stronger than they would be otherwise.'
