Chapter 69

"What are you doing here?" Leila happened to just realize just how shrewd Queen Elizabeth was. It was quite different from the friendly woman she had thought her to be on the first day they both met.

"I should be asking you that, Leila." Elizabeth took off the surprised look that was on her face, and put on a confident, dauntless look as it dawned on her that she had actually walked in on a weapon which she could use against the new queen.

"No, you shouldn't…" Leila retorted. "You are at my home for crying out loud." She was sure that Elizabeth had heard everything that had been said in there, between she and her mother, and that had her quite outrageous. "Why the heck would you follow me all the way here?"

"That's not as important as the fact that you had a child that Alpha Charles knows nothing of, which was born on the night of the dark moon." With that, Elizabeth spelled out her advantage clearly.
