Capítulo 14: Chapter 14

Groggily Rose opens her eyes to a bright unwanted morning, the sun shining directly in her eyes. Confused, she realizes she's in a vehicle and sits up straight. She sees Cal is driving and suddenly all the events that led her here come rushing back.

Cal smiles brightly, "Good morning! Let's stop for breakfast!" Wiping the sleep from her eyes, she asks "Where are we? Did you drive all night?" Cal says, "No, I pulled over and slept a bit. I'm fine. Just hungry." They pass a sign that says "Welcome to Peonat." Her eyes go wide as she realizes how far they've come and in the next moment wonders how her parents are getting along without her. He shakes them from her thoughts. They're fine.

"You snored all night, with your mouth wide open. You still have drool on you." Cal pretends to wipe it from her mouth and fakes a look of disgust. Embarrassed, Rose playfully smacks him "Ew I don't snore or drool!!" He shrugs his shoulders, "I saw what I saw, what were you dreaming about".

"Honestly I don't even know, I can't really remember but whatever it was, it was nice."

Quiet for a moment, Rose speaks up again "Let's stop and eat, and come up with a plan. We can't just drive for the rest of our lives." She thinks to herself, "I can't at least. He'll leave me soon for his promotion."

Cal pulls into a little diner, and they go inside and find a table.

"CALUM! Do you realize where you've taken her!" Shocked he answers, "I'm sorry sir, I don't. It seems like a quaint town."

"This is where the potion princesses hide in plain sight. They will know who she is. Do not THINK of letting her out of your sight. Of all the towns to drive to, and stop in - you pick this!?" He booms, "If anything happens to her or the spell, you die today, and maybe worse."

Cal was zoned out, listening, he didn't notice the person 4 tables down, hiding behind their menu staring at the two of them.
