King Frederick chuckled, "it always surprises me because that's all it takes to be recognized as a legitimate ruler by the world. It's one of the most difficult things for a person to do, but that's all there is to it."

Alaric didn't know how to react. He was friends with King Frederick, but he didn't know what to say, "well, okay then! Thank you, your majesty. Is there anything I can do to repay you?"

King Frederick stepped down and nodded, "actually, there is."

Alaric waited with bated breath as the king came closer, and the king put a hand on Alaric's shoulder, "be the king you're supposed to be. Live for your people, and don't forget why you went on this journey. A king is meant to be for his people, not the other way around. Make sure you remember that."

Alaric nodded, "I will. What are you going to do? By declaring to the world that you recognize me as a legitimate ruler, you're cutting all ties with Irigia. Possibly even going to war."
