Volkner first walked to the fountain and filled his canteen with water, and then he went to the sculpture shop. It was Volkner's first trip down the street, and it was crammed with users and NPCs.
'I hope no one arrests me for stealing water from the fountain, haha'
"We need a pokemon at level 17 or higher, preferably fire type!"
"Hi, Dude! Let's break into the Red Cave. Does anyone want to join us?"
Many users were on the street, but none of them gave Volkner a fleeting glance. He didn't mind that though. Wandering around in a traveler outfit, deprived of even a breastplate or some other outfit, he revealed that he still needs to meet the four-week minimum game requirement before he can leave the City.
'I need to hurry, the City's grace period is running out...' Volkner sighed. Analyzing everything he had gathered, he determined that: The first four weeks are for improving yourself and gathering information.
Volkner was fascinated by how amazing creatures called Pokémon were, but he still hasn't had the luxury of seeing one in combat in person.
Among the numerous stores operating in the capital city of pallet, the item store occupies a special position.
Most ordinary adventurers can barely afford the store's goods, it was so expensive that it made no sense to them. Only an extremely small number of users who could afford the product. the art store is next to the jewelry store on the central street and is one of the few stores frequently visited by noblewomen.
Carillon
Volkner entered the art store.
"Welcome to - what brings you here, stranger?"
The shopkeeper was welcoming a new customer with a kind smile until he saw Volkner's outfit at that moment, he suddenly changed the tone of his voice.
Volkner looked around the store, only to find that there weren't many products for sale. A blacksmith shop or grocery store is always full to capacity, but the art shop only sees a few customers a day, if any.
If you compare the daily recipes, however, the arts workshop is behind the blacksmith's workshop. In other words, the art store sells very expensive merchandise.
Volkner adjusted his collar and asked politely,
"I came here to find an answer to the question that worries me so much, sir."
"So you want to ask me a question, stranger?"
"Yes sir. If you could spare me a second"
"I'm busy right now, please leave"
The shopkeeper rejected him immediately, looking very annoyed. As Volkner's reputation was zero, and they didn't know each other, the shopkeeper had every right to kick him out of the store.
"Yes sir. I'll see you later"
"Goodbye," said the shopkeeper.
Volkner was taking his time retiring to the door. Then, he casually glanced at the paintings that were on display.
"How grand!"
Volkner exclaimed
"The grandeur of this painting fascinates my soul. Do you supply this to the Kanto Court?
The shopkeeper couldn't help but hear Volkner.
"Which one are you talking about, stranger?"
"This two-headed eagle made of pure gold in the moonlight. I dare not guess which master drew this, but I can feel the excellence of his work. It is unquestionably worthy. It's so full of life that I almost mistook it for a golden eagle, and I'm blessed to visit. This store deserves this class of item. They opened my humble eyes to a heavenly beauty that descended to Earth."
Whether the shopkeeper realizes it or not, his mouth was forming a horizontal crescent. "Are you interested in art, traveler?"
"I dare say yes – I'm just wishing I could feel peace of mind seeing such remarkable designs, and my soul yearns to be a small part of the magnificent spirit embodied in them."
"Come and sit down. You can be a good company to wake me up from boredom."
"Thank you sir" he sat down politely.
"Would you like a cup of tea?"
"Only if you are kind enough to offer me cold water with honey. I will be satisfied with a glass of cold water"
"Right! Of course, I do"
Volkner drank the honey water mixed by the shopkeeper, which relieved the exhaustion he had built up over the past three weeks.
'Poor in the game and poor in real life, poor in love... Am I poor in soul too?' Volkner sighed.
"Now tell me what has been bothering you so much." Said the shopkeeper.
"Yes sir. But can you forgive me for asking for a brief tour of these paintings on display first of all? I have a business that requires your guidance, but it's less urgent than comforting my poor soul who wants to get a good look at these works of art." " Volkner said.
"You can look at them as long as you like. Is it not the raison d'être of the fine arts to please those who appreciate its value?" The shopkeeper nodded with a satisfied smile.
Volkner felt that he had won their goodwill, which was barely disturbed by visitors and away from public attention. Suppose you asked to look at various items in a grocery store - in the next second, you would be kicked out.
Volkner savored the statues on display at leisure. But he had his own agenda. "I doubt mastery of the art makes a pile of money." The most expensive painting currently present is worth 30 bucks. The quality artwork is made from rare wood and special papers, despite the impressive finish, the materials themselves weren't expensive in the first place. .
Volkner knew there would be money if he could create a gigantic picture of a fire dragon or something similar, but he wasn't fooled by the possibility that he was so far away. What kind of nobleman with that much money would order a new painting every year? He needed to get to the top of the ladder to do very well as an artist. The little competition ensured that he wouldn't need much effort to become the best in the industry.
Still, it was a niche market, too small to count. The guaranteed way to make a fortune was to target other users as potential customers. They were always leveling up and demanding better equipment and better pokemons, and so on.
Weapons, bracelets, and rings enchanted with strong equipment were popular with wearers, but artistic paintings were of no value to them, except in rare cases.
"Waste of time, waste of money. I shouldn't get involved with things like that"
"I'll be the money master! Pokemon? I sell them!" Volkner nodded.
Volkner's main objective for starting this game was to make money, with a capital M. He looked around the canvas for the last time and gave his verdict on the mastery of the art.
"Skill is worth a dime in a dozen" Volkner sat across from the shopkeeper.
"Now, what are you looking for?" the shopkeeper asked.
"I'm interested in a past event. I was told that someone had drawn Moonlight Hero in the Royal Palace fifty years ago. I would like to know if there is any truth to this event," Volkner said.
"Oh, that event! It is a legendary tale that has been passed down among Artists. I also heard from some trusted patrons of the Royal Court."
Volkner had thought that drawing moonlight was impossible, another urban legend, but the artist's shop owner also knew the rumor that the instructor at the Training Center claimed to have heard.
