Capítulo 40: Chapter Fourty
It's been a week since I fell down the hole the King and Queen had the hole patched up completely to stop anyone else from falling in there, but I suspect they'll make a tunnel there eventually, it's a great place to send kids to wait in safety. Anyways, I now no longer am staying in the Infirmary. After a mage with the holy attribute healed my ankle I had to deal with my mom clinging to me...
Anyways I am currently sitting in my office, and writing out a list of all the provinces that currently do not have a knight in every village. It was taking a while because I had to list out every village in said province and I was only through the first three. I sighed before looking at the paperwork thoroughly, and then checked our copy of their finances, and froze. Part of me doing this was under the guise of finding out the problematic areas, but in truth I was checking to see if I could find signs of corruption but so far no luck, at least until now. I sighed and then looked at the paper again before I reached and got a piece of paper, wrote a quick note, folded it and sealed it together with a wax seal and signed the outside, before I rang for a maid.
After she had left with my message to the king I simply returned to my listing's. I had completely skipped the province I had been working on and went to the next one, as the corruption was obvious there was little point in trying to find accurate information.

Almost an hour later the king strolled into my office without knocking. A knight behind him closed the door, with him on the other side so we were alone. I looked up at him, before silently handing him the two pieces of paper. After a long pause of him studying the paper he nodded.
"I'll hand this over to the head advisor, how many provinces have you been through?" I looked down again before replying.
"I have completed three provinces, I can hand you their paperwork and the list now if you would like?" I started to get up and he smiled.
"Yes that would be good, I'll send Philip to you to collect it all, I'm sure you would like to have more room." He laughed as he looked over my room and I sighed, it was full to the brim of documents in boxes.
