The door had no sooner closed than James put a hand to my shoulder. “Damnation. I rode out because I had need of you, not to deal with some renegade.”

“He is no renegade. And I have need of you, as well.” That was true enough, with all the temptation Dull Lance had provided, my staff demanded attention. “He will remain in the barn, so let’s take care of our need.”

James slipped his suspenders over his shoulders. I watched him disrobe before stripping naked.

“I dream of you like this,” he said. “Your dark skin glowing by the fire.”

Impatient with words, I moved forward to clasp him by the biceps. I pulled him forward until our bellies met. My member pulsed against his hard stomach.

“I ache for you every night.” There was a note of desperation in his voice as he enfolded me in his arms. He crushed his lips to mine.

I cupped a buttock in each hand and tongued one nipple and then the other. It took no more than that to inflame him. James pulled us over onto the bed.
