The hunter guild is located in the capital of Goldshine and has branches across the whole world.
Its main purpose is the extermination of monsters, they even accept capture and escort missions. Dealing with monsters is their specialty.
The guild has many ranks to raise depending on your experience and prowess.
S: The S used to mean special until the third guild master changed its meaning into Shitbucket. Those hunters cannot be stopped or contained, walking natural forces of immense power. To them it isn't about slaying monsters, it's about where they point their power at.
A: We entered the realm of monsters, those hunters are on the same level as monsters. Their mere existence in the area is enough of a reassurance to cities. Those people can't be taken down by normal humans, even battalions of knights won't hold an A-rank hunter.
B: Hunter who has started touching the height of power and skill. They can singlehandedly deal with big monsters, slay hoards of smaller ones and stand as leaders and trainers for the coming generation.
C: Specialised hunters with high skill and experience. They can take small monsters down solo and can even hold big monsters until bigger parties arrive.
D: Seasoned adventures with a few heads under their belts. They can lead small parties of E and F rank to take down slightly bigger monsters
E: Starting hunter who has just got accustomed to the basics are able to perform basic hunt or support.
F: Newbie hunters who just joined the guild. They lack experience even though they might have power.
Each of those ranks had two other specializations, one for experience and one for power. As expected, they are ranked from F-S as well.
This leave hunters with a three letters rating, one for their rank, one for power, and the last for the experience.
Hades has gotten FSF, which meant he is an F-rank hunter, with a power level of S (For his rank) and an experience of F.
To raise in rank from F to E he must first raise both his power and experience to S and then he will be promoted to EFF which he can start rising again.
Hades has been given the rank of FSF and Gabriella has gotten FFB for her cunning action in the test. She would have gotten FFS if she applied as a healer but she instead wanted to get in as a swordswoman to test her steel.
Both of them looked at their guild cards, Gabriella smiled, and then yawned. Hades looked at Nina, "What is this shiny thing? What does it do?"
She gave him a confused look, "Of course, it can allow you to interact with the other guild branches, bypass borders if on a quest, and even be allowed to hunt monsters in restricted areas…it's proof of your power."
Hades smiled, "So, I can hunt monsters now?" He looked at her but she scratched her chin with a worried face.
"Well…about that…no you can't. F-rank hunters aren't allowed to hunt monsters, the only quests available for you are gathering medical herbs and assisting other parties medically, even being a porter to carry their stuff."
Hades stared at her for a moment, CLICK! He threw the guild card away and turned toward the door, "Let's leave, she can gather grass on her own."
"Hold up!" rushed in grabbing, "Just listen to me for a moment…let me explain…"
"Don't need you, going to hunt on my own." He only cared about killing monsters to get more Favor.
"Hades…" Gabriella yawned, at this rate, she will sleep on the ground, "The F-rank missions are given to teach new hunters how to harvest medical herbs and perform basic injury treatments. They are teaching you a way to reduce the cost of healing your injuries."
Hades stopped looking at her, "But we were paid for the monsters."
She shook her head, "Didn't even cover half your treatment cost. If we had some herbs we might have reduced the cost a bit."
The F-rank is a learning faze for hunters. They learn how to forage for food and medical herbs, teamwork, and medical aid by helping other parties, and even get to watch hunts up close to learn monster patterns. It just happened that it's what Hades lacks the most, experience.
"I just want to kill monsters, can't we get herbs in other ways?" Hades glared at them and Nina giggled.
"You sound like an S-rank, hope you get to be one. An S-rank that is focused on hunting monsters is something we need." She smiled.
"S-rank?" Hades thought, they must be worth a lot of Favor…but could he kill them? "Who are they?" He asked.
Nina explained the known S-rank hunters.
Imvaernarhro, the most know S-rank and a fire mage due to him burning a whole kingdom in one night. He wasn't prosecuted as the kingdom he burned opposed the church, as well since no one could face him. Right now he is retired in his castle at the peak of the highest mountain in the kingdom.
Ryla Dragonclaw is an old alchemist woman with vast knowledge yet almost nothing in fighting power. Her rank was merely gotten due to her alchemical achievements and keen instinct and senses. Right now she has gotten too old and is retired as an alchemist shopkeeper. Her shop is in this city, it seemed the alchemist hag Hades and Gabriella met was Ryla Dragonclaw in flesh.
Drizzt Daermon is a powerful dual sword wielder that never rests in one place. Unlike the other adventurers, he only set foot in the guild once to register and then took off. No one knows his current location or motives, but he was known to stop by orphanages every now and then to give them gold and rations.
"Those are the S-rank I know off, the others prefer to stay rather silent most of the time. There is also the fact that the guild keeps some of the information related to them classified." Nina said with a smile.
"Why did you tell us about them then?" Gabriella stared at her.
"Imvaernarhro doesn't care, Ryla is already living here. And the guild barely knows anything about Drizzt Daermon's whereabouts, so letting some information is a way to fish for information as well." Nina explained.
Gabriella nodded as she yawned, "I'm about to fall asleep, will see you tomorrow Nina…" She leaned on Hades's shoulder.
Nina smiled, "You two seem to get together very nicely…" She grinned.
"I could sleep last night…" Gabriella stooped to yawn, "He is a real handful…"
The entire hunters looked toward them at the same time, their necks cracked.
"Healing him was a pain, I never expected someone to fist fight a dryad," Gabriella added.
The entire guild sighed in relief, nothing has touched Gabriella yet. It was then they realized the thing she said…
"He fist-fought a dryad?" one of the hunters gasped unable to believe his ears.
"That can't be, what about their seduction?" Another one stood.
Nina stared at him, "That's right, how did you deal with its seduction? You didn't carry any chemical ingredient right?" that was the question everyone wanted to know, how to deal with such a fearsome monster.
"She gave me a weird feeling so I punched her, then went on to kill her." Hades's answer wasn't much help.
"Come on, let's go." Gabriella grabbed Hades and pulled him out before they ask to what the dryad turned into.

Hades stood alone before the quest board, unable to read. He has already escorted Gabriella back home, Fen stayed with her but Hades couldn't sit idle. 'I need to get off F rank quickly, I need those people to start giving me money…' stared back at the reception desk and Nina waved her hand to him with a smile.
He walked toward her with a stern face, "I killed a monster, would you buy it?" He asked glaring at her.
"No, you as a staring F rank adventurer are prohibited from fighting monsters unless in emergencies. If you killed a monster you will be suspended for a week under the self-harm rule." Nina stated.
Hades glared at her, they won't let him sell monsters…He glared at her, "What prevents me from killing you and taking the money?" He was serious, she was a hindrance now…if not for Gabriella's will he would have killed her long ago.
"Can you do that and survive? This place is filled with more people than can you handle." She asked with a confident smile.
"I can try…" Hades grinned, a wave of oppressive feeling rushed from his body as he glared at her. A raging pitbull glaring at a helpless kitten.
All the adventurers there felt it and drew their weapons, this is a troublemaker, and he is dangerous. THUD! A hand touched Hades's shoulder, it was a familiar one "Calm down, let's go together." It was Cael and Eva behind him.
"What brought you here?" Hades asked with a surprised face.
"Gabriella said we need to keep an eye on you, she is resting as you know," Cael said signaling for Nina to bring him something.
Eva smiled approaching Hades "Will go get you a weapon first, staying unarmed like this can't be good. After that will help you finish F-rank quests so you can rank up faster."
Nina quickly came back with a stack of papers, those were F-rank quests and E-rank quests. Cael showed his guild card to Hades.
<Cael Vendetta> <DBD> He was already a D-rank adventurer, considering that he and Hades were close in performance with the bandits, Hades immediately noted that his strength might fare up to D-rank strength level B.
Cael is D-rank, Hades is F-rank, and the in-between is E-rank quests and that's the highest tier they can take as a party.
"I need to get stronger if, let's go kill more." Hades smiled clenching his fist, a lot of Favor was awaiting him outside.
Cael smiled, winking at Hades "We're not going to kill, I'm going to kill, and you're going to gather grass."
Hades glared at Cael for a few moments and then launched a fist, "You gather grass." Cael immediately dodged with a puzzled face and Eva rushed in to restrain Hades.
She whispered to him, "You idiot, stay calm will get you monsters to kill."
Nina giggled watching them, "Isn't he a feisty one?"
"Who?" Hades glared at her and Cael told Eva to drag him away.
Surprisingly, Hades was extremely tame with those he know. Even the physically weak Eva could drag him outside while most men would struggle to take his punches. Cael smiled, Hades's fangs weren't pointed at them…if any person was in Eva's place. They would have already died.
Cael browsed through the numerous quests and tried to find one suitable for Hades. The goal was to teach him the location and how to harvest and use medical herbs on the go and kill monsters to satisfy him.
For the E-rank quests, he picked {Bulldeer Hunting} and {Horned Rabbits extermination}
For the F-rank quests, he picked {Red-Mint collection} and {Horse fungus collection}
Bulldeer, as the name, suggests it's a hybrid monster between a bull and a deer. Some call it buff deer for how muscular the monster can get. But they are shy monsters who rarely attack people or fight back, they always chose to run away. The problem is the delicate taste of their meat which made them a prised hunt to those who can catch one.
For traveling adventurers, a Bulldeer might be just the right feast to have after a great quest or when traveling. Also unlike deer which are illegal to hunt, Bulldeers aren't. Those are lessons that Hades should learn at E-rank but there is no harm in teaching him now.
Horned rabbits on the other hand had tuff meat, sour gamy taste, and very little nutritious value. But, they multiply faster than flies at a dumpster and can easily overrun farms and destroy crops like a locust swarm.
Red mint is a type of red-colored mint with a strange taste, it isn't edible but it can help stop bleeding when crushed into a paste and applied to wounds. For adventurers, carrying some all the time is a necessity.
Horse fungus, on the other hand, wasn't a useful thing to humans, but a useful thing for horses as the name applies. They love it, and it is good for them. To horses it can act as long-lasting rations, the animals don't need to eat much of it to survive, and it grants them a small boost of stamina.
Travelers have stated for a long time that using horse fungus as feed for their horses can reduce travel time by almost a third, those horses will live longer and healthier, and even reduce costs for their owner. Raptor loves it, but don't try bribing him with it as he will kill you and take it.
After accepting the quest, Cael, Eva and Hades went outside the city. This time, just by seeing Cael's face from the distance the guards opened the gate. He was their leader after all.
"Cael, where are the monster?" Hades approached Cael with an angry face.
"Earlier in the guild you idiot! Listen well…" Cael rushed in as well, "I was trying to take quests and then have you join later, can't you be calm?"
Technically, Cael shouldn't let Hades engage with monsters, he should only let him watch. The reason for the difficulty reduction isn't so the lower rank can join the fight, it's so the higher rank can provide a mid-battle explanation to the fight.
They were lucky that Nina knew Hades to be strong, otherwise, she would have reported them immediately for trying to harm a newcomer. But, they still have to get Hades back to the guild safe and sound, otherwise, Cael will be in trouble with them.
After explaining that and making sure that Hades understood that if he got injured, he would have to cope with gathering grass until he ranks up, the three of them started searching for monsters and the herbs on the way.
"So, where do we find this Balls deer?" Hades asked with a serious face.
"Bulldeer. That will be a hard one to catch. The usual way is to find its grazing spot and wait for it to arrive, but since they are strong they can run quite fast and take a lot of hits." Cael explained looking around.
"So, what do they eat?" Hades asked.
Eva smiled, "They eat horse fungus, two birds with the same stone." She wished Fen was there so they can use him to track the Bulldeer.
