66.66% Rise of An Emperor [One Piece] / Chapter 1: Introduction

Capítulo 1: Introduction

DELIGHT ISLAND: EAST BLUE.

Floating high within the sky, just above the island he called home, was a boy named Angel Wolf. With a golden cloud as soft as… Well, a cloud, he had no care in the world. His little monkey tail swaying back in forth from beside him and the small, satisfied grin on his face, he was truly living his best life.

"Hey! Monkey boy! Get down here and give us back what you took!" His eyes shot open, revealing two fiery red eyes and golden pupils in shape of perpendicular lines. Peering over the side, his grin widened, the cloud he road upon raced down to the ground, bringing him just in front of the group of men that called for him.

"Hi, and you are?" Angel questioned, reaching out his hand for a handshake. The seventeen-year-old boy wasn't exactly clueless as to what was going on. These two men were accusing him of stealing something, so they had a justifiable reason to beat him up.

At least, that's what they planned to do. Too bad for them, Angel isn't as easy as he looks. Though, with his rather lean physique hidden under gray fur lined hooded jacket and regular black slacks, hugging his legs but leaving some baggage… He looked in every word, scrawny.

Ralph, the Captain of the Surprise Pirate Crew, grinned. Glancing from the boy to the golden cloud in front of him, finding that taking back what was stolen and even gaining a new toy in the process didn't sound like a bad idea.

Angel realized his intentions as clear as day. Grinning himself, Angel took his hand back and placed it on the Cloud. The group of pirates watched in amazement as the Cloud retreated seemingly into the palm of his hand, hiding it from the world.

"If you want my cloud, you have to kill me for it." Angel stated simply, he loved his cloud, it was something he was given as apart of eating what his grandpa told him, 'A gift from God himself.' Angel was skeptical about it, but now that he's been living with the change for about twelve years… He was pretty attached to everything that came with his abilities.

Ralph scowled, his 5.6-Meter-tall stature towering over Angel, who stood at 1.9 Meters. Plus, the muscle on Pirate Captain made him look even more imposing combined with his height. His men behind him growled at Angel like feral beasts, each one placing a hand on their weapons as they intended to kill the boy in front of them.

Angel smirked, picking his ear and within the next second, a stone staff expanded in the very same hand, throwing everyone off. "A fancy barbaric weapon won't save you from me! I will get that cloud!" Ralph announced, pointing towards Angel with his saber.

It was a rather childish amount of greed that controlled the Pirate Captain, but it was a greed that Angel welcomed. It wasn't his first time having to beat down on some random pirates or bandit hunters because they let their wants overshadow their needs.

Flourishing the staff, Angel moved with quick speeds and slapped the forearm that Ralph had extended, a loud crack ensued along with a clang of his saber knocking into one of his crewmate's own blade.

Ralphs eyes widened as pain overtook his very mind. Collapsing to his knees as he held his shattered arm, he sent a raging glare at Angel, spit flying from his seething mouth. "Get him!" He shouted, to which Angel smiled gladly, welcoming all of them to a fight.

The passersby—Other pirates—Watched with interest. The ones that weren't familiar with who Angel was and new to Delight Island, thought about jumping in to help Angel, while the others who were familiar with the boy, only sat back and watched. A pitying eye showering the Surprise Pirates.

"Poor kid… Should've just gave it up. Nothings more important than your life." One man said, sighing as he shook his head, leaning against a nearby fence. Another one clicked his tongue: "Not true. There are some treasures worth more than even a life. Maybe that clouds one of them?" He shrugged, taking a swig of his sake.

"Haha! Your worry is misplaced. That boy is just fine." A man with gray hair, a buff build dressed in a purple and yellow suit with sunglasses over his eyes, spoke out. Chuckling as he watched the Pirates rush to their imminent death.

The two commenters looked over, a little peeved someone butted into their conversation. "Eh? What do you mean old man?" One asked, tilting his head. The old man smiled, "That boy loves fighting. He's known for it around here. I'm guessing you two are new?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.

The two men nodded, not very sure what the old man was leading up to. "Ah~ That makes sense. I guess you'll just have to watch and see for yourself. Us regulars don't mess with that kid for a reason." He chuckled again, walking off into the distance.

With the words of the old man peaking their interests, they watched the encounter with much serious eyes. Not wanting to miss a single thing.

The first pirate to reach Angel, slashed horizontally at his throat, a haughty, prideful smile splitting his lips and flashing the poor boy with the sight of two twin, rocky peaks that wreaked of death.

Angel recoiled and finessed his way under the blade skillfully, catching the pirate off guard. Leaning forward and flipping the man over his shoulder, Angel brought the back end of his staff straight down, crushing the man's skull in one go.

The spectators winced while some cheered. "Yeah! You go Monkey Boy!" It was a rather concerning title, but considering the tail Angel sported… He didn't take offense to it. With a sadistic smile splitting his own face, Angel dashed forward, taking advantage of the brief, fearful pause the Surprise Pirates granted him.

His staff swung, smashed and cracked the bones of each pirate with every hit. Every time his staff moved; another life was lost with just a single hit. The weight behind Ryujinbo was a mystery to most residence there, but none were brave enough to question it.

Ralph watched as his crew got slaughtered with a panicked, disgruntled face. The only thought in his mind was to run looking at the red eyed monster tearing through his men like a hot knife to butter.

"M-Monster!" He shouted, using his only good arm to scatter backwards, dragging his but across the floor. Angel felt his movement in the distance, swiftly dodging a stray pirates attack as he summoned another stone staff in his right hand—Dodging another blow, he chucked the staff in the direction of the captain, sending it flying at such high speeds it looked as if it teleported into the man's back, shattering a piece of his spinal cord.

The crowd once again winced as the giant pirate fell paralyzed, too useless to even move his arms to try and remove the staff that will inevitably take his life.

Seeing their captain go down with a single blow discouraged some of them. Causing the constant attacks on Angel to die down. Their once mighty, thirty-person crew was now down to ten—Nine as Angel impaled another one of their members.

Angel calmed down, standing completely still, unbothered in the slightest by the rapid number of lives he just ended. The staff that impaled Ralph suddenly turned into gray dust, collapsing as Angel unsummoned it.

"C-Captain…" One pirate muttered, his eyes watering as he looked at the corpse of his former captain. Others glared with hatred towards Angel, but he shrugged them off—Shrinking Ryujinbo and placing it back in his ear lobe. Crossing his arms, he summoned the golden cloud once more and hopped on it.

Smirking as the pirates backed away, keeping a wary gaze on him as they approached their dead captain.

The grassland they fought on was covered in blood and guts, staining the air with a metallic scent alongside a scent of death. The spectators groaned, recoiling backwards as they caught a whiff.

"O-Oh man…" One of the men from the duo before, muttered, backing away towards the town slowly. Feeling as if Angel would strike him down as soon as he noticed him. His partner was in the same boat as him, sharing mostly similar thoughts.

"See what happens when you let your greed control you? Now your captains dead. Rely on yourself idiots, and don't make me regret not killing you now." Angel's words were like a vice grip on their souls; shivering and practically crumpling to the ground under the sheer intensity of his killing intent, was about the only thing they were able to do.

Taking his cloud and completely ignoring his fans, he shoots up into the sky once more, riding just under the clouds to enjoy the sweet, spring breeze and watch the ocean—Attempting to get some shuteye too.

The Surprise Pirates swore revenge against the Monkey King, taking the corpse of their late leader and bathing in the pitying, mocking gazes of Delight Islands residents.
