I will be upfront and say I didn’t like this at all. It was well written, and structured well, but the whole story just didn’t resonate with me. In a novel you like to feel connected or divorced from reality in some way. The system the MC has is rather unique and shows a lot of hidden depths. Yet the MCs actions and thoughts are unfavourable. He is reticent, unable to take positive steps and doesn’t think of the positive and instead focuses on everything negative. Seem to carry his inferiour complex as a badge of honour in many ways. The system grants a monetary or equivalent asset reward at noon with a complex multiplier and a upgradable wish token at midnight. He already assumes the altering of reality is a part of this but not once has he considered how to best use this and instead resorts to writing down everything to find out more. His first wish is rather reasonable, better health and body, which I think many would approve of, but why couldn’t he wish for something of better use, say for example to be given a character panel so he can visually see his abilities and then hone in on lesser skills. Wish for a better mentality, wish for elite stock market skills. These aren’t seen by others and he has established the groundwork with his trading account…. But he does nothing and still acts timid, awkward and inferiour. Overall, it shows promise and as I said it is a unique idea however I cannot relate or feel anything for this MC but despair.
Honestly one of the better novels of this genre I have read in awhile, especially considering that most follow the face-slapping and reckless spending without though. Unlike others who think that MC is to cautious, I enjoy the thought and diligence he puts into experimenting with the system. I also enjoy the detail you put into each moment/experience for Martin, really paints a picture for the reader to enjoy. Keep up the good work!
Even though that one is pretty good written MC is really stupid or would i have to say author he is really cautious but slow minded not for me.
