"But you already said that you could learn to love me," Samuel said with disappointment in his eyes. "Why are you like this, Valerie? How Can you change your mind so quickly? Just minutes after we part ways, you change your mind? What happened... is someone influencing you?" He wondered.

"Samuel..." Valerie shook her head, tightening her lips. "I'm not influenced by anyone, and I apologize for being so indecisive... But these are my feelings."

"But why?"

"Because I can't... I can't even kiss you!" Valerie hissed. "Then how would it go on if I couldn't from the start..."

Samuel fell silent, seemingly stung by Valerie's words.
