“I’m happy to see you. I feared you would back out at the last minute. Would you like a glass of wine? I have a few bottles of a nice, very dry, red. It’s a Southern Australian Grenache with ninety percent Shiraz and ten percent blend.”
“I’ve never tasted wine.” Ian turned red, embarrassed by his naiveté.
“Then you’re in for a treat. Although I’m of French origin, I’ve learned to appreciate wines grown elsewhere. This is one of the best reds I’ve ever tasted.” Rémy waited expectantly.
