“Take the stick out, honey. It’s not Ian’s fault that Sal is after him. No more than it was mine that Dimitri was after me. Dimitri was a wolf and easier to deal with, if you could call what happened to me easy. Murphy will get him on the murders soon enough.” Sean calmly ate a huge stack of pancakes.

There were scrambled eggs served family style along with sides of bacon, potatoes, and a large stack of pancakes with a bowl of melted butter and heated syrup. Rémy glanced over at Armand, and he nodded his head. He served Ian, then himself

Sean sought Ian’s eyes. “It’ll be fun to teach you our customs. You looked at Rémy strangely. When we are at table, the more dominant wolf serves his mate first and the most dominant wolf at the table gets the food first. This is a holdover from ancient times when there often wasn’t enough to eat.”

Armand cocked his eyebrow at Sean. “How did you know that?”
