I heard the sound of gunshots before I groaned and fell to my knees as I felt sharp and burning pains in my back.

I saw little mate jolted awake as she was woken up by the loud sound of the gunshots.

She stood up and wanted to run to me, but the shooter pointed the gun at her.

“Don't move, or you’ll be next,” he threatened her.

Her eyes widened as she stopped in her track.
