Capítulo 51: Reunion(1)
Along one of the many roads inside Hyd Uni, three students were walking along, enjoying the serene and beautiful view surrounding them. Suddenly, one of them fell over, attracting the attention of his friends.
"Arjun, what happened?" said the one right beside him, wondering if his friend had finally collapsed from all the pressure.
"Did you see that just now? A boy just appeared and disappeared out of nowhere! Like, one second he was here, and the next, he vanished!" replied Arjun, pointing to a location between a few trees.
"Gahaha, when did you sleep last night Arjun? Are you still tired?" asked the leftmost one, chuckling at what his friend was saying.
"But I'm sure I saw him… maybe it is indeed my brain hallucinating," said Arjun, now doubting whether what he saw was real. However, just a moment later, the friend right beside him turned his phone towards Arjun and asked,
"Wait, was it this dude?"
Looking at the phone, Arjun saw a picture of the same person he saw in front.
"It is! But how?"
"How do I have this picture?" finished the friend, " These pictures have spread all around the Uni. Apparently he was first seen in front of AB1, where he appeared out of nowhere and disappeared the same way you described. After reading the comments and posts, it was pretty easy to put two and two together."
And while the trio tried to figure out what was happening, about five minutes ago, Alaukik was going through a problem of his own. Sitting down in a peaceful garden inside the Uni, Alaukik thought,
'How did she trick my domain? It doesn't make sense. None of this makes sense. Why did she even run away in the first place? No, not why, how? How was she able to run when I literally have my domain spread around at full size! I can nearly sense the entirety of the federation from where I stand! Of course, it isn't HD, but at least I can see some fuzzy details*! And yet, I can't sense this girl anywhere within my domain! I clearly remember her build, and there is not one who matches it within a radius of 500m! But that's not possible! With her physique, she shouldn't be able to cover 500m in barely a minute! She can't run that fast, and there's no straight and empty road here! So then, where did she go? And why can't I find her?'
Punching the tree he was leaning on, he tried to think of some ways to solve this problem.
'Should I just do that? But, 30** seconds won't be enough for me to search even a 100m circle around the block. And it consumes a lot of energy, which I don't want to risk considering what happened a while ago. What does that leave me with? Should I reverse time?'
The moment that thought came to his mind, he burst out laughing; bending over and hitting the ground with his fist.
'I'm still the best joker ever. Reverse time?! Have I grown so cocky? I think I can reverse time?' Shaking his head and getting back up, he thought, 'I think it's time I start working on myself.'
'But anyways, that's not the current problem. At this point, the only choice I have is to do a grid search staring with the block as the centre. I will go around the block, searching physically for her. Even though she was able to trick my domain, I doubt she would be able to trick real eyes. If she could, she wouldn't she have left far earlier?'
And so, deciding on a plan, Alaukik immediately started to act on it. What he didn't know though, was that his constant appearing and disappearing was causing havoc among the University, with rumours of a ghost of a child covered in blood starting to spread all over.
Nearly ten minutes later, when he had covered nearly a 200 m circle around the block-
Appearing once again in a new area, Alaukik sighed for a bit, and thought to himself,
'I don't think this is working. It's been so long, and I haven't found her yet. At the rate I'm going, she would probably be long gone before I even find her! And I need to meet Asha too. I don't know when she might return to her office, so I need to keep an eye there too. /Sigh/ I'll try for a few more minutes, and then I'll just have to do that then. It consumes a lot of energy, but I'm afraid I won't have any choice at that point.'
And even though Alaukik was reaching his limit, he still decided to continue looking for her. And so, walking around this new area for a bit, Alaukik tried to spot her, however, as expected, he saw no sign of her. Sighing, he just went on to the next location. However, the moment he came to this location, he heard a voice say,
"Aunty, you look so beautiful! The articles in the news must have been lying, because you look so much younger than your age! I want to be like you when I grow up, aunty!"
'That is obvious dog licking, even I feel ashamed,' Alaukik thought, as he turned to face the person who said that. However, the moment he did, his expression turned into one of pure shock, as he recognized the one who just talked.
"You- you can talk?!" he questioned in an astonished tone, staring at girl in front of him, who coincidentally, was the one he was searching for. And looking at who she was talking to, he did a double take,
"Aunt Asha?!"
Hearing that name, Asha suddenly turned over and looked at the boy who caller her. Immediately recognizing him, she rushed over for a hug, saying,
"Alaukik?! You're here! I was so worried about you!"
However, before she could hug him, he teleported out of her reach and appeared beside Divya, who had once again reverted to how she was: a half dead person.
"I'll deal with you later," snarled Alaukik towards Divya, before marking her, making sure that even is she runs away, he would be able to sense her location wherever she was. Even though his first thought was to bind her and make sure she couldn't move, he realised that he couldn't make himself the bad guy in her eyes, or things might not go as he wanted, which is why he just marked her. After this, he turned around to face Asha,
"It's been a while, aunt. But why would be worried about me?" asked Alaukik, not understanding why she said that.
"Why would I be worried?" Asha repeated with a sarcastic look on her face,
"Do you know what you have done Alaukik? Your actions at Smaoi have resulted in a wide range of consequences, most of which are negative for both the Federation and yourself. Nearly the entire populace of the Federation now knows that there is a soldier in our army who is capable of decimating a force of 500,000. In fact, they've even given you a nickname. Do you know what this means Alaukik? Do you have -"
"Calm down, calm down," said Alaukik, placing his palm on her shoulder, which was quite a chore considering their height difference.
"Why don't we talk somewhere more private? This really isn't the best place for this conversation," continued Alaukik, pointing at the spectators now gathering around them. Noticing them, Asha sighed and said,
"Fine. Let's go to my house then. It'll be much better there."
"All right. So, where exactly is your house?"
"Oh? You're going to teleport us? Wait a minute then, I'll just finish talking to this girl who came up to me," she said, pointing towards Divya. This time, Alaukik was the one who sighed.
"Don't' worry about her. She's coming with us too."
"You know her?"
"Well, kind of. Anyways, where is your house?"
"All right," said Asha, knowing this wasn't the place for pushing Alaukik for details.
"My house is about 10 km…"
Getting the exact location, Alaukik quickly focused on it and then immediately teleported the trio.

*= When I say fuzzy details, I mean that he can accurately make out the body shape and details of people close to him, but the farther one is, the less clear the details become. And he can't differentiate between skin color, tattoos, or any other decorations that are on the same layer. Like it was mentioned at the beginning, he can't differentiate between colours.

Anyways, this was yesterday's chapter. Todays will still come out. I was going to upload this quite a bit earlier, but all my progress was lost due to internet issues. 900 words lost!!!!!! because my college can't provide stable internet!! Heck, I'm working using mobile data right now. Anyways,
