I WAS QUITE BUSY

A question mark flashed.
The cavalry squad members, who had been turned into couriers, returned to the Uchiha clan with 10 Pokéballs. Since the ninja world created by Kishimoto was based on an Eastern European map, the Five Great Nations weren't too far apart. The cavalry squad, which specialized in long-distance treks, could make the round trip in two days.
By nighttime, they delivered the Pokéballs back to the Uchiha clan.
At this moment, Uchiha Setsuna was leading a group of clan members around. Toki wasn't present, and they had no idea what the recent building upgrade was about. There didn't seem to be any significant changes to the building's interior, except for the large, blank scroll that now occupied the previously used ninja storage room.
"Lord Setsuna!"
A member of the cavalry squad handed over a scroll and the Pokéballs to Uchiha Setsuna.
Uchiha Setsuna was overjoyed.
"Did Lord Toki send back word?"
He unrolled the scroll, which explained the Psychic Beast Cultivation Center in detail. Essentially, you took a Pokéball, went to the Psychic Scroll to sign your name, then performed a summoning technique to summon a psychic beast. Once summoned, you could battle and subdue the beast before using the Pokéball to capture it. Alternatively, you could use the Pokéball directly without subduing it, but that method only had a 30% success rate.
Uchiha Setsuna suddenly realized the large blank scroll must be a psychic scroll!
In the ninja world, psychic beasts were incredibly rare! They were different from the nin-dogs trained by the Inuzuka clan or the crows used by Uchiha Shisui. Psychic beasts lived in their own world, possessing intelligence on par with humans.
Creatures like slugs, toads, and serpents were prime examples of psychic beasts, while the Ape Demon of Sarutobi Hiruzen also fell into this category. These creatures were reliable, powerful allies, and psychic scrolls were regarded as invaluable treasures that could be passed down through generations.
Now, Lord Toki had somehow created a Psychic Beast Cultivation Center that could continuously find psychic races and sign contracts with them? What kind of immortal structure was this?
Uchiha Setsuna, excitement evident on his face, approached the blank scroll. He picked up a pen, signed his name, and pressed his handprint onto the scroll after biting his finger.
"That should do it."
With his name on the contract, he moved to the center of the indoor training ground, watched by his fellow clansmen.
The hand signs for summoning were simple, but without a proper contract, they could lead to unpredictable and dangerous outcomes, such as accidentally summoning oneself to places like Mount Myoboku or Ryuchi Cave. That's why psychic scrolls were so valuable.
Now that Uchiha Setsuna had signed the contract, he felt his chakra flow outward, and a large puff of white smoke rose from the ground.
A shadow, about a meter tall, slowly appeared within the mist. The surrounding clansmen eagerly watched, chattering amongst themselves.
"It worked! It's a real psychic beast!"
"The clan elder's Mangekyō is incredible, he can even conjure a psychic scroll!"
"Who knows what kind of psychic beast it is? With this, we'll dominate the battlefield, just like the legendary Sannin!"
When the mist cleared, a small fire dragon that resembled a mini-Godzilla stood up. Its tail was on fire, and it gazed at everyone with a serious expression.
"Wow~" "Kaa~"
The little fire dragon frowned, scanning its surroundings before locking eyes on Uchiha I
Setsuna, who had summoned it. Its eyes gradually turned red, and the flames on its tail flared up violently.
"Roar~!"
With a roar, the little fire dragon charged at Uchiha Setsuna, clearly agitated.
Uchiha Setsuna, slightly taken aback, grinned with excitement.
"Is this a form of Genjutsu like Narakumi? Or maybe a Chuunin-level killing intent? Either way, it won't affect me. Do I need to defeat it before using the Pokéball?"
Not wanting to accidentally kill the little fire dragon, Uchiha Setsuna drew out an iron rod instead of a ninja sword. The fire dragon roared again and rushed at him, its movements surprisingly fast, almost rivaling those of a shinobi.
With a clang, the fire dragon's claws met the iron rod, sending sparks flying. Its tail flared up, sending a blast of fire toward Uchiha Setsuna.
"Wow, it can use Ninjutsu too?"
Setsuna's excitement grew. "But it's still a bit weak."
In an instant, he appeared beside the fire dragon, delivering a powerful kick that sent the creature flying across the training ground.
"Is it time to throw the Pokéball now?" Uchiha Setsuna wondered. "Or do I need to say some kind of spell?"
"Go, Pokéball!" he declared.
With a flash of red light, the fire dragon was absorbed into the Pokéball, which shook continuously. Uchiha Setsuna, slightly disappointed, muttered, "This upgrade from Lord Toki seems a bit underwhelming."
But before he could finish his thought, the Pokéball suddenly opened, and the fire dragon, now glowing red, emerged.
"Roar~!!"
The little fire dragon was evolving!
