I looked at my stats to see that two new things were added. Health and Mana. And from the looks of it, I regain one mana per second. But this made me wonder something. I am not sure if it is just me or not, but it looks as if my health and mana are a bit above average. When I gazed at my father, a small pop up appeared showing his name, age, mana, and health statistics in a small little window that popped next to his head.
[Name]: Devan Rinehart
[Age]: 40
[Health]: 2780/2780
[Mana]: 1200/1200
Next, I looked at my mother to check her stats.
[Name]: Martha Rinehart
[Age]: 31
[Health]: 3600/3600
[Mana]: 2567/2567
I was actually not surprised to see that my mother's stats were higher than my father's because she was much stronger than him. Now to get an idea of what normal kids my age stats looked like, I checked my brothers next.
[Name]: Preston Rinehart
[Age]: 15
[Health]: 700/700
[Mana]: 250/250
[Name]: Ray Rinehart
[Age]: 12
[Health]: 560/560
[Mana]: 174/174
"Hmmm…" I pursed my lips. My mother was right, I am a little monster. I looked back up at my father to see him staring into my eyes. "Something wrong?" I asked while tilting my head to the side.
"Bella, you have magic circles in your eyes that are slightly glowing and spinning." My father replied. I blinked a few times, but he said they were still there.
"Might be a side effect of my new skill. It's called Lesser All Seeing Eye. It allows me to see information about anyone I look at. Although it is only minimal information. Name, age, health, and mana." I explained. My father and mother gave me a look of shock when I said this. It was the first time I saw them actually so surprised, even more so than during my awakening or anything else that had happened this past week.
"Such a skill…. Bella, never tell anyone you have this skill. The church or even your own uncle might try to contain you. Just tell them you have a null skill that lets you see far away that is always active to explain why your eyes are as they are. Knowing the abilities of others is a rare gift and is something that is coveted by many underground organizations as well as the kingdom and the church. While there are items that can do the same thing, they are very expensive and hard to get. Our family has one only because we are connected to the royal family. They require a special kind of stone that is so rare that even some of the kingdoms and empires of our world are unable to acquire it." My father explained. I never knew such a gift was that amazing. I mean, I can only see a few things after all. Although my skill does say it is upgradeable. But I will keep that to myself for now since I have no idea how to upgrade it.
"Bella, since you can see your own health and mana now, how much do you have?" My father seemed to be very curious about this. No, wait, everyone in my family is staring at me with sparkling eyes as if they are expecting something great.
Lucky for them, they will not be disappointed. "My health in my human form is 5600, and my mana is 5000, but I am currently regenerating what I used earlier. Now that I am looking at it. The summon takes ten mana per minute to keep it in this world, so I guess I can keep it here indefinitely."
"Not bad… to have a class c monster as a guard around you is very reassuring. Even some of the higher ranking knights would struggle against a blooddevil imp. They are very tricky monsters to fight as they meld with the shadows and appear behind you like assassins. Plus, with your current health and mana being more than most knights, you are a force to be reckoned with yourself." My father's smile grew wider as his proud gaze seemed to raise the roof of the carriage tenfold.
"I guess an assassin summon is fitting for a girl who used to do just that," I muttered softly. But my mother, who was sitting next to me, hugged me and rubbed my head.
"Bella is Bella. So no matter what happens, we will always be on your side. Plus, those experiences are what kept you and your brother safe before. So never forget them as they will be needed in the future too, I am sure." My mother whispered to me. I took a deep breath and nodded. Having the warmth of a family was truly nice. I loved it very much.
When we arrived back at our estate, our head butler, Old Manning, was standing there waiting for us. He bowed his head and handed a letter over to my father. I caught a glimpse of a golden seal on the letter, which meant it was from the royal family. Which I found strange since we just saw them, so I wonder why were they sending a letter to us now?
We walked inside, and my father stopped in the main hall and unsealed the letter. I did pay him much mind as I was about to go to my room to take off my formal wear with Mimi's help. But before I could get too far, my father called out to me. "Bella, two pieces of news. Your uncle is planning to hold a dinner party to celebrate your cousins and your awakening in two days time. And you cousins will be stopping by tomorrow."
"Geh!" I held my head. Why were those entitled brats coming here? "Father, can you just give them some candy and send them on their way?" I looked up at him with a pleading gaze, but sadly he shook his head.
"I can not do that. I know you do not like them because of how they act, but it will be fine. In our home, you are the princess. If they do anything to your disliking, beat them up and heal them after. If once isn't enough, do it again until they become your subordinates. Just don't leave any marks." My father's words made my lips curl up as I nodded my head. This time my mother said nothing and gave an approving nod as well.
"I will be sure to discipline them well. Brother Ray, Brother Preston, feel free to do the same. I will just heal them." I said with a beaming smile.
"Haha, Bella, Ray, and I are a bit too old to be smacking little kids around, so we will leave the honors to you. Just give them a wack or two for us." My brother Preston replied. I smiled and nodded my head. I would definitely make sure to give them a few extra wacks for my brothers. I punched my fists into my hand. Fun times were sure to come tomorrow.
When night fell, and I finally had time to settle in, I tried to check my spells to see what each one of them did, but they showed no details no matter how hard I concentrated on them with my all seeing eyes or tapped the screen. I guess lesser means lesser, after all. While I could get the gist of the spell by their names alone, it still irked me a bit that I couldn't even get detailed information about it. And the shop doesn't have an already gained tab, so unless I go through every spell, I do not think I will find it in the shop if they are even there. The shop does give me information about spells but not the ones I gained from the awakening.
"I guess I will just have to use each one and make a note of their uses." I would now need to keep a grimoire of sorts of my spells for future recollection. This way, if I am looking for a spell and I have thousands of them, I will have a record of each. "I will ask Father for a book to write in tomorrow…. For now, I will check my stats for my other forms before I sleep."
