Capítulo 3: Ninja academy

At the age of 5 Horiuchi applied for admission to the ninja academy, his parents were surprised as their kid was most energetic and smart so they thought it would be easier to become a ninja. He came to the gate of the admission area and was told to get together with other kids after giving his admission form. A few genin were the examiners of the first round of the exam, the participants were told to run 10 rounds. There was a total of 400 participants, with only 20 who failed to run the first 2 rounds and 100 who gave up before the 5th round they were taken to class (E) those who gave up before reaching the 6th round to (D) those who gave up before reaching 7th round to (C) those who gave up before reaching 8th round to ( B )those who gave up before reaching 9th round to (A) and those who completed all those rounds were sent to (Elite).

Yoriichi completed all the rounds and was asked a few questions, while running he saw Hayuga Negi and Rock Lee completing all rounds he thought 'Academy is going to be interesting'. Soon the examination was over and Hokage came to give his speech on his will of fire, boring the kids with his speech saying things about 4 Hokage and fire that burns and about the land of fire and the meaning of shinobi, he went back to his office.

For some reason everyone was excited due to the speech I thought 'Were they listening to his crap about the will of Fire? Was it a genjutsu? What was so exciting about an old man's brainwashing speech? I have heard (ignored) many speeches in my previous life why didn't I have such a reaction? (ignorance is also a blessing) 'just as Yoriichi was thinking he heard the examiner say "Okay all of your progress has been recorded, you will receive a message about your admission status after 3 days, you can leave" he just said and left the training ground and so did others, I went home to ask for a training sword to father.

I said "Dad I need a training sword" he was amused as he thought that I was not very interested in training till now, he asked me where this training idea of mine came from and I said "I need a sword to be a better ninja" I never trained because my body was not developed enough to handle the stress of a sword training.

Father went back to his workplace and brought back a log he said "You are a son of swordsmith, you make your sword! I'll teach you and correct you when necessary, I also need to pass my legacy and ninjas don't make a lot of money, son! You should focus more on forging or you would have no way to make money to survive" I nodded and started carving the log to make a sword.

I started carving the log and made a perfect case in 20 min I then started to handle shaping and making the edge, and it took me a total of 3 days to complete it "damn that was a lot of woodwork", I had a lot of small cuts on hand but chakra solved it for me in a day "I guess having chakra can solve my small problem".

I was 5 years old so my body was capable of water breathing as it was very easy on the lungs and body it has less strain than the other breathing techniques, I was standing in the backyard I started smoothly breathing the air in large amounts, just as I was about to start my practice mother came to the backyard saying " you got in the elite class son, you should prepare for tomorrow! Play with the sword later"

In this world very less people are interested in swords except for the anbu so normal ninjas don't know the sword or how to make better use of it. There are also very few sword styles, some are already lost despite being a better sword style because it takes time to master it, I started sealing all the necessary things need in the academy in a sealed storage bag.
