Capítulo 11: Mana control
Putting on my raincoat and grabbing an umbrella despite not needing them, Hikari wouldn't let me leave the house without one. I walk out of the house into the constant rain.
I am wearing a raincoat for the usual reason to wear one also because rain is different in this world, ever since mana was introduced here it infused into everything changing their nature and properties rain is one of the things that were changed.
Rain is infused with cold element mana this may not seem so significant as rain is most of the time already cold but the cold mana is absorbed by the body making you colder and colder the longer you stay in the rain, this makes it so people only go out into the rain for important reasons and so the whenever it's forecasted for rain the streets are deserted for obvious reasons after all who would risk dying from the cold?
I'm going out into this rain because I can survive such temperatures, not only because I am a vampire but I am a cold element user, the cold mana would only make me stronger besides rain is one of the few things I enjoyed in my previous life, it has a relaxing quality I can't quite describe.
Anyway as I walk out into the rain I head toward the park near our house.
Taking a seat in on one of the many empty benches I put away my umbrella and close my eyes.
I can feel the cold mana in the rain making its way into my body passing through my bones and into the area below my stomach.
I focus all my attention towards that area and concentrate.
An icy blue collection of energy swirls like a galaxy drawing in ambient mana along with the cold mana now seeping into my body.
'This should be my mana pool'
I think to my self in sudden realization.
While looking at my mana pool I notice one glaring problem, as mana is drawn in from the surroundings I can see the mana streaming out from the centre of the vortex just as fast as my body takes it in.
Just as I expected my mana is leaking this isn't unsalvageable though since the mana theory book denoted that this is a well documented phenomenon chalked down to lack of mana control the book also states that it isn't much of an issue it wouldn't effect the users ability to make use of mana and can be fixed with simple mana control excercises.
'I doubt there has ever been a case of mana leaking out at such a rate as mine.'
I draw all my attention to the centre of the vortex in my mana pool and concentrate every ounce of my focus onto that stream and begin to attempt controlling it.
I compress the mana coming from the stream slowly into the shape of a small sphere the mana slows its movement before settling creating a calm blue drop of mana I move the mana I just shaped away from the stream. I don't stop here though as I compress it once again.
The drop of mana compresses again becoming smaller than it already was and becoming a whiter colour, I notice it start to start to act like a liquid, seeing this I repeat what I had done and create more of these drops of mana from the stream.
Creating five more drops I bring all the drops of mana together into a ball of liquid mana a bright white colour.
'Let's try and use it now.'
I draw this ball of mana through my body and into my hand and open my eyes while watching as glowing mana begins to seep out my skin of my palm before taking the shape of a sphere.
After the mana collects once again I experiment with it moving it around my body to practice my control before deciding to try use my natural ice powers.
Activating my ice powers I notice the ball of mana freeze over becoming bright white, crystals forming over the skin of the liquid.
I attempt shaping the now ice ball into different shapes but notice I am losing control before stopping. I try activating my sharingan before trying again this time I notice I can control the mana ball without effort shaping it into letters, blades and even into the shape of a rough human.
'The difference my sharingan made is quite significant.'
I spend an hour more practicing in the park, noticing the rain begin to show signs of stopping I release control of the many blades of ice mana dispersing it and deactivate my sharingan.
I didn't practice my susanoo because such a thing would draw attention.
Not forgetting to grab my umbrella I walk out of the park and head back home my body still warm and dry thanks to my enchanted coat which no doubt must be expensive.

I walk into the house putting away my coat and umbrella at the enterance.
Hikari jumps and embraces me worried about me since rain is not exactly safe in this world. I reassure her before heading to my room to 'study' with the sharingan.
I have been absorbing information on the sciences of this world for the past two weeks in preparation for the experiments I want to carey out but I have no expensive secret lab to carry them out like my past kidnappers.
I lack money at the moment even though my rich parents passed away I only inherited the house most of the money went to relatives I only inherited about a million in my previous worlds currency this is a large sum but not enough to satiate my limitless ambitions.
I don't intend to use that money to live a life of luxury without ever working again. I never got to reach the peak in my previous world always chasing after my brother refusing to become the average twin brother who was left behind.
I need to make money... exorbitant amounts of it... though I could rob a bank I'm not so foolish as to try anything illegal something that significant would mean powerful tracking mages would be called, high level crimes are uncommon on this world because of the insanely powerful abilities mages can use to find you.
I am left only with the path of making money legally...
There are some overpowered abilities in this world I don't want to contend with them just yet.
Sorting through the books in the library of this house I stop on a book about how to play piano.
'This gives me an idea...'
I could master any instrument without difficulty with the power of the sharingan... if I were to copy the popular music from my previous world I could become the greatest musician of all time.
A modern form of classical music is quite popular among the mages of this world who think of themselves as nobles compared to normal people.
'Good this fits my style I can't see myself becoming a pop star.'
Taking the book I head off to the grand piano in the house while thinking how convenient it is that our aunt is in the music industry she could help me... she WILL help me after all not like she has a choice anymore.
Smiling to myself continue on my way.
