"We always have supper together, like one big family and it's prepared by us women. Everyone takes part in it," Haylia's words interrupted her thoughts once again and Cassandra shifted her eyes from the glowering girl to her.
Another elderly woman spoke.
"Men bring the game from their hunt. Women cook. All of us eat."
Cassandra nodded her head in understanding but her throat dried. Even if she was not the favoured daughter in her household, she had never cooked anything in her entire life.
Princesses in their tradition weren't supposed to do these chores. They were meant to look pretty, dress gorgeously and take care of their skin. With Lotus around, most of Cassandra's work was managed by her maids.
But this place was not her father's palace. She was used to managing herself and was a quick learner, she could try and learn this new skill.
The question arose, was there anyone willing to teach her?
