The effort of four people was now nearly done. A mere ten minutes remained while it cooked in the oven as they slowly cleaned the abomination that was once a beautiful island countertop. The sweet aroma of eggs and sugar spread from the kitchen to the nearby rooms, attracting the others in an instant.
Dylan leaned against the door frame, watching the chaos with a raised brow.
"What are you doing? Don't lick that!" Keira, for the first time, smacked Matthew across his wide back. The force of her slap was strong enough to cause him to release the whisk from his hands.
"Wha…Why are you smacking me!?"
"You don't lick raw eggs! No!" She smacked him a few more times with less force.
Matthew had been staring at the leftover egg pudding in the large glass measuring cup. The soft yellow made it look appetizing.
I am doing much better now! Thank you to all who continued to support RHC!
