Capítulo 37: Mana Oath

The atmosphere in the back room was tense and palpable. It was clear that the clarification Lawrence had made confused Emma more than previously. 

"If you're not trying to target me, or possibly reveal this fact, then what is your goal?" Emma asked, her expression remained firm and steady. 

It would be ridiculous if she simply believed Lawrence's words on the spot, given that they had just met and he had already forced himself on her, kissing her on the lip.

Just how much could he be hiding? 

"Also, did you send for Martin Ravenwood earlier to create that show?" Emma then asked, seemingly thinking Martin Ravenwood was someone he had sent. 

After all, Martin Ravenwood was like a sacredy cat that had just seen its nemesis, running away the moment he appeared in the scene with quite the dramatic entrance.
