Capítulo 14: Who did this?
"The dress is pretty but taking it off is a different case.."
Lixue breathed out as she finally managed to remove the corset. She could once again, breathe properly.
"Do you need some help.."
Lixue jumped as she felt Mo Ran's lips near her ear, her mouth twitching, his hands were already on the dress.
"You're already doing it, I can't say no.."
Mo Ran was quiet, his fingers trailing down her waist. He loosened the belt and he could feel Lixue breathe out.
His fingers found the zipper next, trailing it down gently, he admired her milky white skin. But the scars on it were unbelievably noticeable.
"Who did this…"
Mo Ran finally spoke, as Lixue raised her head, confused for a second before understanding what he meant.
"Life is tough when you're an illegitimate child. Things don't always go your way when you don't have a mother to back you up…"
The dress fell down with a plop, as Lixue's hands quickly reacted to cover her body.
"Don't…" Mo Ran muttered as his hands moved "Your body is beautiful.." Lixue frowned as she forced herself to turn, something was wrong. This isn't the Mo Ran was familiar with.
"What's wrong?"
She noticed the redness on his face and sighed, didn't he say he was going for ye when did it turn to alcohol.
Mo Ran hugged Lixue, now with their positions turned, Lixue could no longer see Mo Ran's face, likewise him so she couldn't see the menacing expression in his face when he said "I swear, the next person that would dare to even touch a strand of your hair….i would make their life hell on earth…"
Lixue shivered, she wanted to break out of his embrace but he tightened his hold.
"Mo Ran…I can't breathe.."
Lixue tapped his shoulder lightly hoping he would loosen his hold. And he did after two breaths.
"Get some rest, I'll be busy tomorrow…we won't see much of each other.."
After that, Mo Ran turned and walked out of the room.
Lixue blinked, what was going on with him? She sighed as she gathered the dress and walked back to her room.
What's the point of sleeping in a matrimonial room without your partner? It was pointless.
40 minutes later, Lixue plopped down on the bed, she could finally relax again.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Lixue saw the notifications come in and out as she turned on the wifi. But a particular one caught her eye that made her quickly tap on it.
It was a message from Shi Haoyang.

Lixue patted her cheeks, feeling excited as she quickly replied to the email. She wanted to build her career until she was strong enough to take down Yu Jia in one full swoop. That's when she would reveal her identity but for now, she would remain the elusive Y.L Magnolia.
"This is good, this is good…"
Lixue plopped down on the pillow, first she would take right of her song, then her art and then she would find her mother.
The next morning, Mo Ran had already left when Lixue came downstairs.
"Good morning young madam, the master left early, I've made breakfast. Breadsticks, soy milk, wonton soup, dumplings, salad.." she listed as she helped Lixue to the table.
"Thank you.."
