Sasha subconsciously cast a contemptuous glance at Chloe, raising her head arrogantly, "You of course. Accept it."
The next second, Sasha walked directly to Chloe's room. While Chloe stayed there quietly for a moment.
Before Sasha opened the door and walked in, she deliberately turned around and gave Chloe a sneer.
Daniel kept silent for the whole time and Chloe knew the answer from his silence.
So she walked to the guest room.
"Where are you going?" Daniel said.
Hearing his question, Chloe was puzzled for a moment. She looked back at Daniel, and there was a hint of loss in her eyes, "Where else can I go? To the guest room and have a rest."
He made it clear that one of them would have to sleep in the guest room, right? She didn't really blame him.
It's good enough for him to take her in.
Chloe gave a big yawn. Before she finished, she was suddenly carried away by Daniel.
What was going on?
She looked at him in confusion, "What are you doing? Let me go."
She flailed her legs in the air to break free but that was so meaningless considering Daniel was much stronger than her.
"Ah-" Chloe screamed to show her protest.
As a result, Daniel patted her on her butt slightly, whispering, "Are you trying to show everyone what's going on between you and me?"
Chloe somehow blushed and didn't say anything.
As they returned to Daniel's room, Chloe was thrown on the big bed by Daniel. And the next second, she heard he locked the door.
Chloe retreated in the bed, asking defensively, "What are you doing?"
"Sleep."
Then he took off his suit and shirt before Chloe. His tanned skin and sexy abs were just irresistible.
Chloe had to admit she could never get tired of appreciating his face and body.
But in this life, they weren't a married couple. So what relationship were they right now?
"Why did you take me here?" Chloe sat up and stared straight at him.
Daniel held her gaze with his deep eyes, "To sleep of course. That's what you want, right? A good rest. Or you are implying that you have changed your mind and want more?"
His gaze moved down on her body and stopped at a certain point.
Too hot and too dangerous.
Chloe shook her head at once. "No. Sleep in fine."
After letting out a hoarse chuckle, Daniel went into the bathroom and took a shower.
Hearing the running water, Chloe could picture what was going on there and thus found it hard to concentrate. But she didn't finish the conversation. After thinking for a while, she thought it's better to wait for Daniel to come out first.
"Haven't slept yet?" Daniel came out, drying his hair with a towel. As he saw Chloe was sitting there, he looked surprised.
Chloe answered, "I haven't taken a shower yet."
Daniel paused and continued, "Everything you need is in the cloakroom. Just tell me if you need more."
His cloakroom?
Hearing this, Chloe, who was halfway to the bathroom, took a turn and walked towards the cloakroom in disbelief.
As she went in, she was totally shocked.
The cloakroom was spacious and tidy, whose half-space was full of Daniel's suit and tie and accessories. While the other half was woman's clothing of all kinds.
Chloe was too shocked to say a word.
"Do you like it? If you need something else, just tell me." Daniel followed her and came in.
Chloe wasn't sure of her answer, still processing the information.
"Well, I'll take that as a yes. Since Sasha took your room, you can share my room with me for a while."
Share his room? Wasn't it too intimate? Or was she still over-thinking?
"It's too much for us. After all, we are... " Chloe felt the urge to draw a clear line between them, "If Sasha takes my room, I can move out."
In short, it was impossible for her to share a room with Daniel.
Daniel seemed to predict her response and stayed calm as usual.
He just needed to point out the truth for her and then he could do things his way.
"Mrs. Laura has cut off all your financial support. So think carefully."
Chloe froze on the spot. But she quickly accepted this reality, answering in a low voice, "Right."
At this moment, Daniel caught a glimpse of sadness in Chloe's eyes, which was fleeting in a second since she hid it well.
In the case, Chloe grabbed the pajamas from the closet and headed towards the bathroom.
After taking a shower, Chloe lay down on the edge of the bed and closed her eyes without saying a word.
The next morning, when Daniel went downstairs, Chloe was already sitting in the dining room and talking to Helen.
When she saw Daniel come in, she raised the corner of her mouth, "Morning!"
Her smile was so cheerful that Daniel was still in a trance.
"Daniel, why didn't you tell me when you got up? I want to spend more time with you." Sasha came in a top and shorts, looking very hot.
Daniel was reading newspapers and didn't respond.
When Sasha noticed his silence, she turned her attention to Chloe. She couldn't help smiling as she recalled that Chloe had to sleep in the guest room.
"Oh, Chloe, I have to say that your bed is so soft that I got up in the morning and felt some backache."
Sasha looked so happy right now, trying to show off and provoke Chloe. She must tell her who was the biggest winner.
"Backache? Then you should go to the doctor." Chloe said calmly.
That was not the point!
Sasha paused while drinking milk, continuing, "There's no need. I mean thank you to let me take your room. I hope you enjoyed yourself as I did in the guest room last night."
"Daniel, remember to have the swing installed on the terrace. It's a nice day, and I want to swing for a while in the evening."
Chloe smiled. She took a piece of bread from her plate and left.
Today, she had an appointment.
While as Chloe expected, Sasha lost her temper immediately after she heard that.
The next moment, Sasha's shrill pierced the whole room.
"Daniel, did Chloe sleep in your room again last night?"
Chloe didn't hear how he replied to Sasha. But clearly, Sasha didn't like his answer. She was screaming nonstop as Chloe left the house.
The cafe was quiet right now.
Chloe took a seat and made a phone call. Then she's waiting here in silence.
Since her quarrel with Lisa last night, neither of them had tried to make peace.
Thinking of Lisa's cold words, Chloe still felt hurt.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. I was caught in the traffic jam and thus delayed."
