"Hehe. What a cute boy..." she snickered,

"Well, as much as I want to be your highness's godmother, I guess it will be better for the both of you to tie the knot together. It will be all the same once you get married anyways." 

The girl frowns upon Annabeth's words, and when her expression caught Annabeth's attention, the Duke interrupted her, 

"Annabeth, we should leave Ivy with her friends." 

"Uh, right. Yes. I guess we should. I will come back and visit both of you another day then." 

Before the adults leave the room, the Duke reminded Ivy, "My daughter, you have suffered a lot, so you should spend this time wisely with your friends.

Your mother and I will return to the mansion for a while. My knights will be here to monitor your safety at all times. They will notify me immediately if anything happens."

"Yes, Father. I understand." She softly replied. Acknowledging his warning not to tell the others about their secret departure.
