A seasoned slacker was seen sitting with his head resting on the surface of his desk in his classroom. An ordinary high school student with no special talent, his messy hair only made him look more like a complete loser. The lazy loser in question is me.
My name is Ray Lewinston, a regular 16-year-old high school student in my first year.
I sit in the farthest back corner on the left, a spot rarely in the line of sight of my classmates or teachers.
I'm just an ordinary high school student with no special abilities or talents to boast of.
If I were to describe myself as an example, I might be more like an NPC in a school romance novel.
I live a boring daily life without any true friends or a girlfriend for myself.
Resting my cheek on the school desk during every lesson is something I do every day.
Still going to school even though I don't benefit from it, that's me.
Living life without thinking too much about others, that's me.
The most boring person ever born in this world, that's me.
I can't find the meaning of the life I'm living now. Every day I just do meaningless activities. Without any motivation for life or thinking about the future.
My heart is empty, like a moving doll that has no desires or will of its own.
Sometimes I lift my sleeping head from the desk and look around the classroom. The lively atmosphere fills the class along with what is called "youth". I sometimes get confused about what people mean by "youth". But observing the class slowly makes me understand what is meant by "youth".
And the more I understand it, the deeper it gets. I understand more and more that I am far from what people call "enjoying youth".
While all my classmates are chatting about various things, I'm busy with my laziness routine.
While some of my classmates are being intimate with their girlfriends, I'm busy being intimate with the desk in front of me right now.
I'm sick of this gray life, but it's all too late for me. Starting everything from now won't change anything. The past where I looked sad won't disappear from the history that has been embedded in the memories of all my classmates.
In their memories, I will forever just be an ordinary supporting character who is not important at all in their lives.
Today is an ordinary day as usual, without anything changing from me. I fold my arms pretending not to see my classmates enjoying their youth right now.
I'm used to staring at the darkness when everyone else is shining around me.
I, who am now only seeing darkness because I close my eyes, feel strange hearing the noise around me. Not because it's too noisy or disturbing, it's just that everyone in my class at that time sounded like they were disturbed by the same thing.
I finally opened my eyes out of curiosity, and lifted my head while looking left and right. At that moment I realized that I and the other 24 people in my class had been transported to a strange place with a large magic circle beneath our feet.
Everyone was in a panic, while some influential people like the class president tried to calm down some of the girls who were crying hysterically from excessive stress.
Meanwhile, I was observing the surroundings, confused by the desks and chairs that had also been brought along with us.
I took out my bag from the desk drawer and opened the phone inside. Unfortunately, the internet couldn't be used and the signal was gone.
A white room with a large gate right behind us, along with several pillars present in various parts of the room. The room looked normal if we ignored the magic circle under our feet.
Some of my classmates tried to call their family numbers and hoped their families would answer. But still, it was a futile act at this time.
In the midst of the commotion among the students in that place, the large gate behind us that had previously been closed now began to open. The gate opened along with a beautiful girl with blonde hair who appeared before us.
Sky-blue eyes with thin eyelashes and a cute face. She was almost as tall as the high school kids who were making a fuss in that place. Just by looking at the clothes she was wearing, everyone understood that the girl was a princess. Her plain white dress with flower motifs around it made her look even more beautiful.
All the boys who came with me were immediately captivated by the girl's beauty. Except for me, who was more focused on several people in armor behind the girl who were carrying swords with them.
"O heroes, I beg you all to calm down. I will explain everything to you," said the princess.
One of the boys from my class came forward to discuss with the princess about their current situation. That person was the most popular boy in class, and also the person I hated the most in my class.
The class president also stepped forward along with that male student. They discussed something with serious faces for a while. After they seemed to have reached a conclusion, the male student and the class president approached me and the other students who were waiting for instructions from them.
I felt like a sheep in a flock of other sheep, following the directions of two shepherds who were coming towards me and the other students.
"Guys... Please hear me For now, we are invited to have a meal together with the princess. Let's just follow her wishes for now, as she has promised to explain everything after we finish eating," said the male student.
"What jimmy said is true, for now, let's calm our minds. Especially you... Rumi... Momo... Are you guys feeling better now?" said the class president, who looked concerned about the girls who were previously crying hysterically.
