Ray, hearing these words from Mr. Roney, could only feel doubtful. Then he asked, "Can all humans use magic? I mean... I'm from another world, so..."

Ray fell silent, contemplating the matter.

Mr. Roney confidently replied, "That's why we have to try it first. You won't know until you try, right?"

Ray smiled at that, then replied, "Yeah, you're right."

Mr. Roney returned to his seat and faced Ray who was waiting for him. Mr. Roney extended both his hands, and Ray received them just as Mr. Roney did. Their palms were now touching each other.

"Close your eyes."

Ray closed his eyes as instructed by Mr. Roney.

Mr. Roney glanced at Ray who had his eyes closed. He chuckled, but it was a sign of his happiness. It was rare for Mr. Roney to find someone like Ray around him.
