"What does this make me? A Quadra Elemental Mage? Hexa Elemental Mage? Wait, an Omni Mage? Nah, I need something that sounds way cooler!"

Kaden's laughter reverberated through the air, echoing his exhilaration. As the weight of his realization sank in, a surge of excitement coursed through him, leaving him buzzing with anticipation.

The only problem was he couldn't test this theory just yet. He needed more skill books. He only knew how to roughly execute a few fire elemental skills.

In 'Apocalypse Online' one needed proficiency in a skill to completely learn it. Otherwise, one wouldn't really be able to bring out its full effect, simultaneously making the cost of the skill tremendous.

Skill books served as guideposts, providing directions for utilizing specific abilities. It was up to the player to learn it and make the skill his or her own.

Kaden had only managed to master Fire Ball and a couple of other fire affinity skills.
