Capítulo 42: Chapter 42

*Third person point of view*

The first indication that Leonhard the man in red took this seriously was when they both used their skills, when they bumped into each other they created a shock wave that destroyed the place where they were standing, from Leonhard's side only smoke and dust rose, from Sakray's side a sea of flames was born.

Although the cross of swords was short lived as Leonhard threw Sakray away, clearly demonstrating that in physical strength he has the advantage, immediately running after Sakray, who despite being thrown did not take any damage, and even while he is flying away he uses fire to create spears throwing them at Leonhard.

Leonhard using his weapon, a sword that don't have a tip its look like it's been cut in half, the Orcish Sword to cut the fire lances, something that Kirkena taught him although he still can't do it very well, he always think that it is easier to use spell cancel to destroy magic, but thanks to the scream of a woman that he hear before, he doesn't want to use more skills of the necessary.

Even so, this time he managed to do it and easily makes his way through the lances of fire surprising those who are watching, hitting Sakray again with the Orcish Sword in his left hand, for his part Sakray finally touches the ground and quickly manages to accommodate himself to parry the hit using one of his skills in the process.

"[MAGNUK BREAK]" Sakray yells as he raises his sword and tries to hit Leonhard directly with it. As Leonhard is 'floating' in the air it is impossible for him to dodge the attack.

Sakray and both women can only open their eyes, seeing Leonhard dodging his skill, throwing his Orcish Sword into the ground and using it as a step to jump over Sakray, hitting him on the shoulder with his katana as he fly over him. Only thanks to his instinct did Sakray manage to avoid a blow to his head.

Even so Sakray quickly turned around defending himself from the attack that followed, they both stared at each other for a moment, but Sakray activates [Bash] and makes Leonhard move back, however the next blow is blocked by Leonhard who immediately starts a counter attack lightly cutting a piece of Sakray's hair, who managed to dodge the hit again.

'How!? How can we fight against that!?' Huginn thinks as she watches the fight of Sakray and the mysterious assassin... not the Guillotine Cross. '500 years ago all the Valkyries were the most powerful that existed and even them couldn't do this...'

She always thought that Sakray was just a stupid power-hungry Norman, she is a higher being who decided to grant her recognition to his tiny existence. She always thought that man as an inferior being who should be pleased just by being in her presence....

'How come that bastard didn't try to kill us before... If he has that much power he can clearly enter directly through the gate of Asgard and clearly he couldn't be stopped so easily... those new Valkyries of now are nothing more than a shadow of the past.' In reality, both women cannot understand what they are seeing, how is it that two 'mortals' are having such a violent fight without backing down a step...

They can only see how they both continue to fight, dodging blows, stopping them, each one showing their own martial abilities, which, unlike the beginning where they were only violent clashes of force, have been increasing in technique... both can only be called masters of their weapons...

No... Sakray for his part after the first injury he suffered and his haircut really got serious and he stopped playing, using his abilities completely that they can see how he continues to use more power and techniques after each small exchange of blows, their subsequent exchanges increase in strength and ferocity. Until they get to the point where they both separate after an exchange of blows and stare at each other again.

The mysterious Guillotine Cross has his face covered so they can't see his expression, but Sakray is smiling and with the passing seconds his smile becomes more and more wild, until he bursts out laughing, for his part the assassin stands up straight, now with both swords at his sides again, neither of the two women noticed how or when he took his Orcish sword again and he opening his arms a little in a position that anyone would think has no defense.

But they know it well, that guy never lets his guard down, they have seen how he manages to repel each and every one of Sakray's attacks, so far he has not been hurt and he in turn begins to fight more and more refined.... doing a lot of pirouettes and juggling, practically dancing around Sakray, but his eyes... it's like you're staring into the abyss, someone who has clearly walked and left the battlefields of Muspelheim or worse alive.

Worst of all is what they managed to notice... he the man in red is visibly improving the more the battle progresses, Sakray clearly shows that he already knew how to do that from the beginning, but that man in red... he improves the more the battle progresses. Each time using less force and adapting more and more to the fight, showing more precise movements.

'He probably hadn't been able to fight much against human-sized enemies, so he didn't really know how to fight them...' It's the only thing Huginn can think of, after all the Guillotine Cross fight against the Jotnar, the giants of ice or fire and demons.

"Muninn have you received any instructions?" Huginn asks the other woman, they really don't know what to do in situations like this, the plan calls for Sakray to be alive, but they clearly know that if this goes on like this Sakray will die here tod...

At that moment they both see him, as a red aura sprouts from Sakray... no, it's fire that begins to cover his entire body... much more fire than any giant from Muspelheim or Vanaheim, even hotter than them, almost as if they were seeing Surt in person... And for a few moments they both feel a presence... something that made them feel a chill running through their body.

It was too brief for them to distinguish what it was, but this is the One that should not exist in the Nine Realms, which not only made both of them tremble, but also awakened ancient entities that were sleeping, entities that are in places too far away to really be affected.

Author Note: Well I just discovered something that I had forgotten to put... the races! Here I left some information about them, in addition to the fact that I already placed the auxiliary chapters....

Normans are the main race of the world of Midgard. They are resilient, having survived one Ragnarök cataclysm. In the beginning, Normans were not much more than cavemen, using primitive means to hunt and survive. It was not until elves came to Midgard that Normans began learning the basics of civilization from them.

Elves are the main race of Alfheim. They are advanced in the ways of culture and civility and have very long lifespans. The elven race pitied the primitive Normans and sought to help the race advance by teaching them the ways of their people. So proud and almighty were the elves that they failed to notice signs of rebellion from the Normans.

Mihos are a tribe of humanoid foxes that reside in the depths of Payon Forest. Their home is the Miho Tribe Village. They are said to be descended from Wolyahwa. The Miho look like upright foxes, in ocasions they assume Norman like apparence. It is unsure if there are females within the tribe as all Mihos have the same basic appearance. Higher ranked Mihos display differentiating war paint.

Cats are a sentient race that resides in the world of Midgard. Distinct racial traits of Cats are good agility and movement speed. Cats that have adapted to walking on two legs and manipulating their forelegs into workable arms are known as Doram. Unlike regular Cats, Doram Cats have developed the initiative to build complex societies akin to that of Normans and Elves.

Lopolde appear to be a tribal Rabbit race that lives alongside the Doram in the northern part of Pasta. Lopolde have a humanoid rabbit appearance, but has notable legs. They can be found in different colors, most notably brown, white, and black.

Dwarfs, also known as dark elves or Dvergar, are the main race in the world of Svartalfaheim. They seem to revere respect and dislike casual behavior as they see it as an aspect of rudeness.

Merpeople are an undersea race that reside in the oceans of Midgard. They worship a mysterious sea god. Since the Age of Gods, merpeople have always sought to conquer the world above. Their invasions were generally limited to the land around Izlude and mostly involved mermen.

Demons are a race of monstrous entities that seem to hail from both Muspelheim and Vanaheim. They rely on dark magic to cast powerful spells to destroy their foes. They are characterized by cold and heartless personalities, showing no remorse for tormenting and killing others. They apparently have the ability to reproduce with normans in their norman forms as one Demon was reported to have sired a norman daughter.
