Mei Lein's thoughts were interrupted as she caught the tail end of Assistant Bai's conversation. The mention of Ethan immediately piqued her curiosity. She recalled seeing Assistant Ethan, CEO Lu Jun-hui and Assistant Bai at the party bash of Lu Enterprise on couple of occassions. She knew these three men had a significant power and position winthin the company, thus Assistant Bai calling Ethan to bring someone made her alert. Is someone important coming in? She remembered the time Assistant Bai was introduced and this is his first project. The timing seemed too coincidental.

She adjusted herself in her seat, smoothing the fabric of her designer dress, and glanced around the room. Director Liang, known for his meticulous attention to detail, was already absorbed in reviewing some notes with his other assistant. The rest of the team shuffled through their paperwork, seemingly preparing for the upcoming discussion.
