Third Person's POV
Knox let out a soft whimper, curling up against the young lad's side as if seeking comfort. The young lad's heart ached at the sight. He knew that whatever had happened to Knox had been terrifying enough to leave the creature in a state of fear and vulnerability.
"I'll take care of you, Knox," the young lad promised, his voice gentle. "You don't have to be afraid anymore."
As night fell, the surrounding forest grew darker and quieter. The stars appeared in the sky, their light filtering through the gaps in the trees and casting a soft, ethereal glow over the clearing. The young lad leaned back against the wall of the cave, his arm wrapped protectively around Knox as the creature drifted off to sleep.
