The High Court remained silent for a few minutes as the lawyers mentally prepared themselves, rehearsing themselves for the last time, and oiled their throats to talk smoothly.
George, however, for one of the first times in his adult life, prayed; he wasn't sure if he could even give any good argument with such little preparations and setbacks caused by his assistant beside him.
He might as well get as much help as he can, and if the God in the sky existed, then he would probably get out of the court without losing the entirety of his pride.
"Amen." George whispered, still hoping he would survive this entire thing.
"What are you doing?" Michael tapped on his shoulders, wondering what George was doing.
"Hoping for luck…"
"Understandable."
"Do we have everyone present?" The Judge asked.
