Capítulo 117: PWA 117 Phinia vs Loudred

And so, I sent out my Phinia while my opponent sent out a Loudred, the evolutionary form of the Whismur!

Here is its Pokédex entry!

[Loudred, the Big Voice Pokémon, is a Normal Type Pokémon.]

[Loudred's bellowing can completely decimate a wood-frame house. It uses its voice to punish its foes. This Pokémon's round ears serve as loudspeakers. A Loudred will shouts while stamping its feet to the ground. And after it finishes shouting, this Pokémon will become incapable of hearing anything for a while. This is considered to be a weak point of a Loudred.]

[The force of this Pokémon's loud voice is not just the sound by itself, but it is also the wave of air pressure that blows its opponents away and damages them. The shock waves from a Loudred's cries is so powerful that it can even tip over the trucks. And a Loudred stamps its feet to power up its loud sound even more.]

[This Loudred have the hidden ability Scrappy, and it knows the move Circle Throw (Egg Move), Snore (Egg Move), Astonish, Pound, Echoed Voice, Howl, Rest, Sleep Talk, Bite, Rock Slide and Bulldoze.]

Wow, it have two egg moves at once and I should watch out for it having a rock type move Rock Slide that would be super effective against my Pidgeotto.

"Phinia, use Aerial Ace & be careful of the rocks!" I opened the third round with an Ace move (pun intended) and also warned my Pidgeottto about the enemy's rock type move.

"Loudred, use Rock Slide!" And just like I have anticipated, after he sees that I have taken out a Flying type Pokémon, my enemy decided to use a Rock type move against my Pidgeotto.

"LOUDREDDDDD!!!!" *Stomp stomp stomp*

The enemy Loudred scream loudly as it stomped it feet furiously upone the rocky ground, the echoes of its thunderous voice that is being powered up even more with its stomping shakes up the hills around us and making the rocks slide over to fall upon my Pidgeotto!

But Phinia who have heed on my warning quickly and carefully tread on through the Rock Slide, evading every falling rocks with great precision while she is moving steadily under the effect of Aerial Ace.

Decided to playing it safe, my Pidgeotto use Aerial Ace more to precisely dodging the Rock Slide than securing a quaranteed hit on the Loudred.

It is pretty much like how we have trained to use Quick Attack for a speedy evasion rather than for making a hasty attacks.

Phinia safely dodged all the Rock Slide and she even land a hit on the Loudred before she fly away to a safe distance.

"Loudred, use Echoed Voice!" Seeing that the Rock Slide is useless to deal with my Pidgeotto, the opponent commanded his Loudred to use one of its STAB moves instead.

"Phinia, use Quick Attack, and then Fury Attacks!" I also commanded my Pidgeotto to uses her STAB moves, and I even asked her to do two in quick succession at once!

"LOUD DREDDDDD!!!!" The Loudred screamed again with its two big purple ears vibrating madly like a sound speaker beating on Max Volume.

I can even see the traces leave behind in the air as the Loudred's Echoed Voice is making a double shock wave from its left and right sound speaker like ears.

And while its Big Mouth and Big Ears are working out to make Echoed Voice, its two stubby legs are also stomping non stop, pounding the Mother Earth with great fury.

I wanna swallow up the retort that is about to come out from my mouth.

Loudred-san, are you wanna make an Echoed Voice with your mouth or an Earthquake with your foot?

If I don't know any better, I would think that my enemy's Pokémon is wanting to do a Combination Move by doing Echoed Voice and Earthquake simultaneously.

But according to the Pokédex, this Loudred have not learned the Ground type move Earthquake to be added on its move pool.

Not like it would make any difference in the battle as the Ground type moves are useless to my Flying type Pokémon that the Loudred is currently facing right now.

"Pidgeotto!!!!" As I am still lost in my reverie, my Phinia who have took a hit from the terrible sound wave make a loud cry as if she didn't want to lose out to the Loudred's voice.

My Pidgeotto then make a spirited cry as she simply shrugged off the Echoed Voice that is affecting her and then she moves quickly in a flash as if she is unfazed by her opponent's move.

And then just when Phinia have hit the Loudred with her Quick Attack, she didn't fly away but instead continuing making contacts with her enemy by jabbing and clawing on it with her Fury Attack in a quick succession.

The Loudred scream madly from the pain inflicted upon it by its collision with a Quick Attack from Phinia and it cries even more as my Pidgeotto continue to hit it with her Fury Attack.

Phinia's Fury Attack landed 4 hits, with a jab from her beak, two scratches with one each from her left and right claws, finally a slap on her enemy's left ear using her right wing.

My Pidgeotto then quickly fly away from her enemy to a safe distance as the Loudred attempted to grab or hit upon her when she is about to make a fifth strike in her Fury Attack.

"Loudred, Echoed Voice again!"

Uh oh, my opponent seems to be wanting to stack on the power of Echoed Voice to make it becomes even more powerful the more the echoes being emitted from the Loudred and being stacked over each other.

"Phinia, slap its ear with Wing Attack!"

"LOUD DREDDDD!!!!" The enemy Loudred make another big cry, the sound which comes from its loud speakers, I mean, its left and right ears that is as big as my head are making shock waves that stacked with the sound waves that are still lingering around in the area from its previous Echoed Voice, making it even more powerful and destructive as it bore down upon my Pokémon.

And all this while, it didn't stop with it stomping the ground madly on its two legs as if its life depends upon it.

The ground below it has already smoothened as its two big legs that is like a pair of mortar have been hammering on the soil nonstop since the start of the duel.

"Pidgeotto!!!" My Phinia make a loud cry as though she is wanting to fight off the wave of sound that echoes loudly around her before her wings is shining in a powerful light and she plunged down to the Loudred below her!

Phinia managed to slap both the left and right ears of the Loudred with her Wing Attack, and as she is still being close to her enemy, I cry out to her, "Phinia, Steel Wing!"

"Pidgeotto!!!!!" Phinia let out another shout as her wings are now being coated in a gray coloured metallic energy.

"Loudred, Echoed Voi-" the enemy trainer shout out his command that is broken in the end, he didn't get to finish his words as his Loudred is already being finished off by my Phinia with a solid hit from her Steel Wing.

The enemy's Loudred fall on the ground that have become a smooth bed for it in a big thump as the Big Voice Pokémon has been fainted, while my Phinia landed her battered bodies that have endured two and a half round of Echoed Voice before she make a shrill cry of victory.

"PIDGEOTTO!!!!!"

And thus the battle between the second stage evolution Pokémon comes to an end with my Pidgeotto coming out victoriously.

After I collected my winning from my opponent, I let my Pidgeotto to take a rest for a while inside her pokeball and we continue on our way to go up the last hill before we can arrive on Cupcake City.

Fighting all the wild Pokémons that we have encountered along the way, and alternatingly accepted the challenge from the trainers we met between me and Homura (Kotonoha didn't seems to be keen on having Pokémon battles as she only have a single Pokémon until now anyway, so taking a 3 on 3 challenges from almost everyone around here is quite a stretch on her).
