The boss slammed the table and then kicked him out.
"Tch, I just clicked the wrong spawn point, and he's been yelling at me all morning."
This is a game tester, and he's still pretty young.
The newest game from Arceus Company has caused quite a stir and buzz in the online community.
Even though there's barely any video or images from the game, apart from the fact that it's still in Beta and only about 10 people have had the chance to play it.
I was lucky enough to sign up in time, so I became one of the Beta players.
Because of that, the boss assigned me to investigate this new game.
Well, it's a competitor in the gaming industry, and the boss definitely doesn't like Arceus Company.
And wow, the latest game is certainly the most impressive and beautifully built one Arceus Company has ever made.
I mean, I almost believed it was the real world if not for the quest board.
Unluckily, I picked a spot where no other players were, so I couldn't gather much info.
But that doesn't mean I didn't find anything.
While helping some NPCs and earning a few rewards, an old man who loved talking told me a few things.
He was very honest in answering, talking about how Pokémon appear, what a Poké Ball is, and blah blah.
It was all game lore, and it seems like this game is definitely the biggest one Arceus Company has ever made.
Anyway, whatever, I still have to work.
He sat down at his desk, typing on the keyboard to gather more information about this Pokémon World game.
Just as expected, it's mostly scattered info, since the game hasn't had an official trailer or big promotions yet.
But on the other hand, there are a lot of discussions on Reddit and blah blah.
Clicking to read, but realizing it's just speculation about what genre the game might be.
"Monster hunting? Pfft, if a Pokémon game was like that, it would definitely be a nightmare" (Palworlds).
Well, looking at the bright and colorful graphics, it's clear that Arceus Company is aiming for all age groups—a smart move.
While he was getting a cup of coffee, a message suddenly popped up.

What kind of joke of a name is that?
This person sent an invite to join a group called Pokémon Squad...

Don't tell me this is the group for Beta players!
He quickly clicked "accept," and the chat group popped up on his computer.

She looked through the messages for a while and then noticed something.
"This account... the way this person talks feels familiar..."

He quickly got on his computer, typing away furiously as lines of code appeared on the screen.
Yes, he was also a part-time hacker.
Once the hack was complete, he found the necessary information.
"He's a half-German, half-Asian."
Her ears twitched.
"Age 22."
Her hand trembled.
"Currently working at a shipping company, living in a rented apartment."
"Father is a chairman of an old, well-known family; mother was German and passed away. He has a younger sister still in school."
"Has red hair and wears an earring on his left ear."
Her legs started shaking violently.
"His name is... Lukas Ying."

She looked at Lukas Ying's phone number, gritting her teeth so hard it sounded like swords clashing.

She pulled out her phone and made a call.
"Yes, Miss, what can I do for you?"
"Inform the Ying family. I have something important to discuss with them."
"...May I ask what it is?"
Her eyes sharpened.
