It took all of the day to finally reach the lake in the north, and quite frankly, it was worth the effort as it was stunningly beautiful! The moonlight was reflecting on the surface of the water, making it shimmer, and the sky that was littered with innumerable stars made it even more enchanting.
This was also one of the biggest natural lakes in the Kanto Region, and spanned over an area of nearly 66 km².
There were a few Tariners around, camped by the lakeside, and Aizen could not help but re-evaluate Misty's intentions as this place seemed like a love-spot.
Nearly all the Trianers here were couples, and some of them did not even look interested in the Pokémon that were all around them resting under or on the trees.
Aizen could not help but smile when he spotted an aged couple, who were sitting on a boulder, snuggling each other and staring at the bright stars in the sky. And when his eyes inadvertently looked at Misty, he found her quite nervous with an evident blush on her face.
She did not say anything and just started assembling a tent. He decided to do the same, but when he was about to take his tent out, she immediately stopped him.
"You can stay with me... You know, there are bugs all over this place..." She meekly said, making up an excuse that he clearly saw through.
However, he decided to not make it harder for her and just nodded his head before starting to prepare their meal.
It was as if there was a tacit understanding between everyone present here that they did not intrude in anyone's privacy.
No one looked their way long enough to make things awkward. There were of course some curious glaces, but that was it. And everyone was camping a good distance away from each other so that no one would accidently eavesdrop upon their conversations.
The two of them sat next to each other by the small campfire that they had lit up to prepare their dinner, and just silently worked on their meal.
"There are some really decent Water Pokémon in this lake." Aizen suddenly said after he scanned the vicinity with his Psychic Powers.
"Really?" She curiously looked at him. "Which ones?"
"Goldeen, Seaking, Magikarp, Gyarados, Krabby, Poliwag, and Slowpoke." He pointed in the direction of the lake where a Slowpoke was soundly asleep on the bank.
There were a few Horsea as well, deep in the lake, but he decided to not tell her about it, and let it be a surprise for her when they fish tomorrow.
Hopefully, she would manage to fish one out of the waters.
"It's decided then! We will fish all day long tomorrow!" She excitedly said. "I want a beautiful Goldeen, and a Slowpoke too!"
"Slowbro or Slowking?" He curiously asked.
"Both!" Misty pulled her tongue at him. "What about you?"
"I think I prefer the Slowking." He shrugged. "The lack in speed after a Slowbro's Mega Evolution is quite a disadvantage, but yes, they are very strong and their defense is nearly impeccable..."
The two of them continued chatting about one Water Pokémon after another. And it was a subject that Misty could never get tired of.
They finished their dinner over the chat and then they decided to go for a walk around the area where there were no Camps.
Misty braved herself and grabbed his hand, locking their fingers together, and her heart calmed down a lot when he lightly squeezed it.
"Aizen, I called back my Onix. I was wondering if we could train mine along with yours."
"Sure." He readily agreed and smiled at her. "But to properly train an Onix, we need to find a good place."
"We can start on it after your Neon City Gym Match." She was in no rush and suggested.
"Okay." He nodded to her and then curiously looked around the area where the Pokémon were peacefully asleep.
The mountains and hills in the distance were a sight to behold at night as they gave this place a majestic feel.
"You know, the Dragon Alley is up there?" Misty caught him looking at the mountains and pointed in a direction.
"Yup." He nodded to her.
"Want to go there?" She curiously asked.
"Do you want to?" He smiled at her.
"But we are not supposed to cause trouble there. And Dragons are dangerous..."
"Heh... Are they?" He chuckled. "I have been around Dragons all my life. Don't you know what the Blanc Island is also famous for?"
Misty grinned at him.
"The Dragon Mountians that are home to the Salamance and Garchomp lines." Of course, she knew it.
Blanc Island was one of the biggest Islands in the world, and since it was situated between the Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions, the apex Dragons of both the Regions were found on the Island.
"I want to go there some day..." She whispered her desire, and he brightly smiled after he heard her words.
"You are always welcome to my home." He said, making her blush a little. "And I will take you to visit the Island after the Indigo Conference."
"Promise?!" She excitedly asked.
"Yes." He nodded to her.
Misty felt like it was the best day of her life, and after walking in silence for a while, she stopped and looked Aizen in the eyes.
"Kiss me..." She whispered, burning in a scarlet blush.
Aizen could have teased her right now. He was quite tempted to do it, but he knew that she had mustered all her courage to demand it, and he did not want to spoil her mood.
He lightly smiled at her before pulling her in his arms and leaning down to capture her awaiting lips.
Her heart thumped hard against her chest and then skipped a beat when he planted his lips on hers.
She closed her eyes, fearing that the tears of joy might slip out, but failed as a tear still managed to escape her eye and rolled down her cheek.
Aizen did not mind the salty taste of her tear, and calmly kissed her, enjoying her softness and taste. She tasted a little tangy like a tangerine, which was quite amusing since it was the color of her hair.
His hands subconsciously descended on her ass, and he could not help but marvel at how perfect it was. And when he instinctively squeezed it, she moaned in his mouth, but she refused to let her shyness get the better of her and kept kissing him back.
It took her a while to finally understand how to return a kiss, and then she just seemed unwilling to let him go.
Minutes later, they finally parted, and Misty immediately hugged him and buried her face in his chest, not daring to look him in the eyes.
He stopped playing with her ass and then wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against him in a tight hug. Which comforted her racing heart.
"You know, it was my first kiss.."
"Now I know." He chuckled and she hammered her fist on his chest before separating and seriously looking at him.
"You must take responsibility now! Because I am not going to let you go! Ever!" She shouted at him, and seemd annoyed when he started chuckling.
"Did I say anything about letting go?" He smiled and asked her, amused at her silly and obsessive words.
"Hmph!" She pulled her hand and then led him back to the campsite. "Let's go, I am sleepy!"
"Okay." He chuckled and allowed her to drag him with her.
"Wait here. I will change my clothes first!" She said before she entered the Tent with her backpack.
Aizen had to wait for nearly 20 minutes before she walked out, dressed in Pyjamas, and he teasingly smiled at her when he smelled her wearing a perfume.
She refused to look at him, but her face was buring in a scarlet blush, and she sighed in relief when he entered the tent without poking fun at her.
Unlike her, he did not take as much time and finished changing clothes in under five minutes.
"Come in." He said, and Misty entered the tent and then zipped up the entrance.
And without saying a word, she climbed into the sleeping pad with him, placing her head on his chest and wrapping her arm around him.
"We are just going to sleep?" He teasingly asked after a minute long silence.
"Yes!" She clearly said.
"Not even a good night kiss?" He chuckled and asked, and Misty stayed silent for a few seconds.
He could feel her heart racing, and gently smiled at her when she raised her head and then approached his lips.
"Good Night!" She furiously blushed after she kissed him for a good minute and then placed her head back on his chest, closing her eyes and listening to his soothing heartbeat.
To her relief, Aizen did not tease her anymore and honestly fell asleep holding her in his arms.
Misty could not believe how easily he could fall asleep in this situation, but eventually, his comforting warmth dragged her into the dreamland too.
