The Action Team left Blaine in Lance's custody and gathered in the Cinnabar Lab for a meeting.
Mr. Fuji, who had recently resigned as the President of Silph Co. after the Master Ball mess, had once again returned to the Laboratory to work as a scientist.
The old man was shaken after he learned that his younger brother had been alive all these years, and then grief struck him when he learned what he had been up to and what happened to him.
They could have kept it from him, but they owed the old man the truth about his brother.
Fuji helped them settle in the Laboratory, and excused himself to his room. He needed some time to get over what he had just learned, and everyone decided to let him be.
"How in the world can someone get their hands on Mew's DNA?!" Riley was losing his mind. "It's Mew we are talking about! One of the most powerful Psychic Pokemon in existence. A god-like Empyrean Legendary! How could they have managed to hurt it to get its DNA? But before all that, how did they even manage to find it?!"
What he said was on everyone's mind. And Bill thoughtfully looked at Aizen.
"Do you think they used Tesseract to hurt Mew?"
"No." Aizen immediately shook his head. He was the most clear about the Powers of an Empyrean Legendary, and he knew that even if Mew did not transform into its Primal Forms, it was still one of the Strongest in its Class. "Not possible. The weapon is not strong enough to hurt Mew."
"Was that really Mew's DNA?" Glacia voiced her doubt, and everyone stopped for a moment to think over her words.
Aizen knew that Mewtwo was somehow related to Mew because Lyla had revealed that to him back in the Power Plant. But he did not say it to them for it would have raised questions he couldn't answer.
"When we encountered Mewtwo, Alfred informed me that the Pokemon we were up against was unmistakably the most powerful Pokemon he had ever seen. And it has already fought against a Lugia." Joseph revealed to them what his Mega Metagross had said. "Which means that it was easily stronger than a Noble Legendary. Whatever DNA they used to create Mewtwo, belonged to an immensely Powerful Pokemon. And so, I would not rule out their words that it was Mew's DNA."
"Humans cannot create Empyrean Legendaries." Sabrina pointed out something that most of them were not thinking about. "Empyreans are the Pokemon that rule over all Pokemon and have been blessed with divinity. Their divinity makes them live eternally since they are one of a kind. How can a human creation be that strong?"
Joseph and Bill turned to look at Aizen as they remembered his words. He had told them that Arceus was involved in its creation, and that made sense as to why Mewtwo was so strong.
"Whether it was Mew's DNA or not, and whether Mewtwo is an Empyrean Legendary or not, none of it is something we should be wracking our brains over." Krane, who had been silent, spoke. "We already have a lot on our hands, and our main objective is to protect the Kanto Guardians from Team Doom, and dismantle that criminal organization. Let's not distracted ourselves by focusing on Team Rocket now. They are Indigo Council's responsibility. And they would be on Team Rocket's tail after Blaine's trial."
"Yes. And we have found nothing today that could help us trace Mewtwo or lead us to Team Doom." She said. "Krane is right. We don't have all the time in the world. Team Doom is the priority."
"Agreed." Bill acknowledged their words, and everyone nodded their heads.
"We have already wasted half a day." Cynthia got up from her seat, and Glacia stood up as well, knowing what the Draegor Blood was about to say. "Let's start with our plan. The two of us are leaving to search the Sevii Islands."
"Take care." Aizen lightly smiled at her and got up to give her a light kiss on the lips.
"You too." She smiled at him and then left the room together with Glacia.
"Well, I guess we should take our leave as well." Bill and Riley stood up, and then the former's Mega Alakazam teleported them away.
Joseph too took his leave with Krane to search for the traces of Team Doom in the locations where the three Guardians had been sighted in the last decade.
Aizen and Sabrina found the girls, who were touring around the Laboratory, accompanied by a Porygon-Z. A Pokemon that was the first perfect man-made Pokemon. But sadly, it lacked most of the emotions as well as the ability to talk properly.
"How did it go?" Misty immediately asked.
"We did not encounter any enemy. And we have not found much." He shook his head and smiled at them. "Had fun?"
"Yes!" Anira and Leaf replied in unison and then narrated to him about all the research being conducted at the Cinnabar Lab. They even told him how many Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z were so far successfully created.
"I can't wait to have my Gym Battle." Leaf seemed pumped up about facing Cinnabar Gym.
"The Gym is closed for the next two days. A new Gym Leader will be coming to the Island the day after tomorrow." Aizen informed her.
"What happened to the old one?" She curiously asked.
"He's facing a trial," Sabrina replied. "Take your time to train your Pokemon. Cinnabar Gym is a Fire-Type Gym. All your Pokemon, except for Pidgeotto, are at a disadvantage." She pointed out.
Her only Water-Type Pokemon was an untrained Staryu, who was still not old enough to be trained. And then her Nidoran was not strong enough yet. She had not even started training it. Pichu was not ready for Gym Battles either.
Floette's Fairy-Type and Grass-Type moves were only half effective against Fire-Type Pokemon. And then the rest of her Pokemonwere at a Type-Disadvantage in the Cinnabar Gym.
"You are right." The hazel-eyed girl sighed. "By the way, you said you wanted a Pokemon that is found on Cinnabar Island. Which one are you after?"
"Magby or a Magmar." The Moonheart revealed. "They are found in the Volcano. I am heading there after lunch."
Leaf quickly took out her Pokedex and was impressed by the description of Magmortar on it.
"Are there any other Fire-Type Pokemon species on the island?"
"You can find Ponyta, Houndour, or even a Charmander on the Island."
Leaf was sold as soon as she heard Ponyta. Her eyes sparkled in excitement, but she was equally excited to find herself a Charmander as well.
Ever since she saw Ash's Charmander at the Pokemon Center back in Aero Town, she had wanted one. Her desire only got stronger when Charmander evolved into Charmeleon. She found it a cute Pokemon that was equally as strong.
"Why are you going after a Magby and not a Charmander?" She curiously asked.
"I already have two Charizards." She revealed. And before Leaf could ask to see them, she revealed that she did not have them on her. "They are currently at Juniper's Lab."
"How many Pokemon do you have?" The girl from Pallet Town curiously asked.
"33." Sabrina indifferently answered.
"Wow..." That was all she could say in reply.
"On average, a Pokemon Trainer catches and trains around 45 Pokemon in their lifetime." Anira giggled at her friend's shocked expressions. "33 is not a high number considering Sabrina is 22 years old and has been travelling since she was 13."
The gang travelled to Cinnabar City, which was littered with tourists, and found a local restaurant for their lunch.
Leaf kept asking Sabrina about all her Pokemon, and the Moonheart girl answered all her questions. It was a peaceful meal, except Misty seemed bothered by how much Leaf had started to idolise Sabrina.
At 4 pm, the group embarked on a journey to the Cinnabar Volcano, on the southern side of the Island. Their Misson was to find a Magby for Sabrina and a suitable Fire-Type Pokemon for Leaf.
