[Pewter City, Kanto]
Lan struggled to wake up but was being nudged by Cyndaquil's foot. "Alright everyone up and at um we are going to the first gym today. We have to see if this is actually what we want to do."
"Bulba Bulba"(5 more min)
Lan turned his head to Bulbasaur and sighed at the lazy pokemon as he knows that feeling all too well.
"Not today sir or you won't get to face a tough opponent."
Bulbasaur perked up and was suddenly energetic and was bouncing around nimbly like a Buneary. Although the movements seemed a little unnatural for its large frame.
Lan preceded to feed his Pokemon and head towards the Gym.
When he arrived he was greeted by a very large metal building that was made of Pewter City's famous stones. Lan sighed 'Who has all the money to create these types of buildings.'
Lan then pulled out a tan scarf and covered most of his face with it. He had found it at the market and it was a light durable material that he thought might be useful.
He entered the gym and saw a large battlefield of boulders and rocks. He clicked his tongue in annoyance 'Tch should have expected this'
Lan preceded to wait for someone to come and help him. Even though the gym lights whereon he could not find anyone to help him.
Lan took a seat in the stands and mentally commanded the system to analyze his current Pokemon.

Even though he was battling against the hive Pokemon Lan was keeping an eye on all the pokemon and this Scyther caught his eye as he seemed to be the loner of the group and also the one that took the least amount of damage from his Pokemon's attacks. He had traded the other two Scythers and kept this one for his use of Steel Wing also which might help him at this gym. ' Sigh too bad I haven't had time to release him yet. I need to as soon as I am outside the city.'
Lan's attention was turned to a guy about his age enter the gym. He seemed startled that there seemed to be a challenger waiting on him and said " Hello my name is Brock. Are you here for a gym battle"
Lan"Yes"
Brock nodded then preceded to get someone to officiate the match. Lan made his way to the challenger's box. His blood was boiling from the excitement ' I really am an adrenaline junkie. Too bad I can't fight alongside my Pokemon. Hopefully, these gyms are worth it.'
Brock took his place on the opposite side of the arena and said " How many badges do you have as that will determine which Pokemon I must choose."
Lan"Is that so... is there a regulation on what team a trainer faces?"
Brock shook his head " No it is just that certain gyms in the region can only give certain battles to qualify. If you battle the 8 main gyms of Kanto like most trainers do then fine.
I can only give out 1st,2nd, and 3rd Level badges meaning that I can only give you a badge that pertains to a Rookie, Beginner, and Intermediate Level trainer. Classifying a trainer goes by this:
First Level = Rookie = 0 - 2 Badges
Second Level = Beginner = 3-4 Badges
Third Level = Intermediate = 5 - 6 Badges
Fouth Level = Advanced = 7+ Badges
Any other levels are determined by the Tournament at the end of the Leauge. Challengers should be informed of this by Gym Leaders"
Lan nodded in understanding and sighed " 2nd Level Battle"
Brock Nodded at the Referee.
Ref"This battle will be a 3 on 3 Battle between the Gym Leader Brock and the Challenger ..."
Lan"Gold"
The Ref nodded thankfully "... Gold will now commence. The Challenger is allowed to switch Pokemon during the battle. Now START!!"
Brock "Geodude I Choose YOU!"
Lan ' Okay what's with the entry?' He tossed out his first Pokeball
His pokemon materialized and it squeaked "Cindaquil!!"
It turned to Geodude who was slamming the ground trying to intimidate its opponent.
Brock "Using a fire type against me is the wrong choice! Geodude Rollout!"
Lan "Dodge"
Cyndiquill immediately moved and seemed to disappear. Lan could see everything on the battlefield in great detail compared to the Ref and Brock who seemed stunned at Cyndaquills speed.
Brock quickly recovered yelled at Geodude "Keep up <Rollout>"
Geodude kept spinning and increasing his speed and momentum of his attacks.
Lan smirked "Use <Ember> and <Smokescreen> while Dodging"
Brock" That won't work."
Lan just looked at Brock a bit annoyed. Brock felt a shock go through him as if he was being targeted by something only to look up and see his opponents glowing golden eyes.
Lan went back to the battle while thinking 'I am in to woman so stop looking at me' while Brock seemed to be a little out of it.
...
Cyndaquill was having an easy time dodging and hitting Geodude with his attacks. It was a lot easier than some of the training that it had undergone. Lan had removed the Everstone and small weights from its body for this battle. Although it was doing little damage he knew that it would help Master's plan.
...
Geodude was having a tough time with its opponet. Its opponent was really fast and he couldn't stop missing and crashing into boulders on the battlefield. Although his opponent's attacks didn't hurt he started to get frustrated.
...
Lan nodded thinking 'Here it comes' he stated calmly "Cyndaquil"
Brock was confused as his plan was not working " Geodude stop and use <Rock Throw>.
Lan just smiled as Cyndaquill stopped and jumped up and spat a condensed <Smoke Screen> ball at Geodude followed by an even more powerful ember.
Geodude's Rock destroyed the <Smoke Screen> Ball hindering its already poor vision.
Lan smirked "It's over"
BOOOOOM!!!
An intense explosion shook the arena.
