Capítulo 15: Ch 15: Mike Ranch
The was going to built it himself but he doesn't have the experience.
Cory seeing this as if reading his expression said. "I just having make some Wooden fence at my shop," she offers. "If you'd like I can help with fencing the area around the chicken coop."
Mike hearing this his eyes widened. "How much was the cost then."
"Not much, only 1,500 Pokedollars," Cory said with a smile on her face.
It seems she was prepared for this already. Mike think as they were way too of a coincidence that she has those.
But he still said without hesitation, paying her on the spot. She waved her hand, and two Machoke was then move to unload fences form the truck.
"Well, you seemed to pretty much prepared for this, huh!!" Mike remark with a chuckle.
Cory also laugh and said. "I had a feeling you would have say, yes. So I have already made preparation before hand."
Mike shakes his head in amusement. The Cory took out her hammer and will help form Heracross, begin to fence of the area around the chicken coop.
After that Cory finish her goodbye with Mike. Also told to go towards her if he needs new addition to his ranch later.
Mike then come toward a billboard where he place the name of his ranch. It was now called "Mike Ranch".
When customer or the package delivery workers come they will be able to differentiated his ranch.
Also the orders he place about the Miltank milking machine was also come with the generator.
It come yesterday when he was busy touring around the place.
Mike then release all the Pokemon he has, then told themselves to select the place they like.
He then flew on his Pidgeot to get toward the Fluffy Ranch. With Pidgeot it was very easy for him to go around.
It took him 5 minutes to reach there destination. Mike told Pidgeot to get slower or else it will be more faster.
Mike then landed some distance away from the place. He ball up Pidgeot then start to wake down the street. He then took out Meganium from her PokeBall, she was wanting to come so he took her with him.
Occasionally, Mike will encounter trainer with there Pokémon by side. As the league tournament started, many trainer will come and stay in this town.
This town was in between Azalea town and Goldenrod city. Both places has a Gym, so many trainer who wants too get to there destination they will bypass or stay in the town.
This was also why, even if this town don't have it's own Gym and not very popular. It still has many new visitor's all year around.
Mike then come toward the shop. After opening the door he was greeted with the same old man as last time.
Seeing Mike the old man also look towards him and said. " Well if it isn't young Mike, are you here for your ordered last time."
"Yes, grandpa Jackson. The renovations were finish last night. So I come over today to get my orders done." Mike said to the old man now know as Jackson.
He was Mike grandpas friend, so when Mike come before the old man told him to address as grandpa Jackson.
"Don't worry about that, I was happy to hear that you are able to restore that old ranch. Your grandpa will be proud to see the ranch resort to it's full glory. I will send someone to deliver the Pokemon/ Animal to your ranch. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask," said the old man sincerely.
Mike then said farewell after paying the last amount of money, as well giving his new contract number. Then with Meganium by his side he was going towards the ranch before getting some essential supply like oil, salt, vinegar, super etc.
A short while later after he get back to his ranch. A 14 year old girl, with round cheek's, bright eyes, with a pigtails arrived on the ranch in a tricycle laden with goods. The tricycle look like the one officer jenny use but without the side sit, replace by a delivery box.
She looked at Mike, who was waiting for her, asked timidly. " Are you the new rancher that grandpa mentioned, Mr. Mike?"
Mike nodded," Thats me."
The girl, visibly relive, park her tricycle by the side. Then took out the box that was with her then said. " Her is your delivery. In this box you have your hens and Rooster as well as some PokeBalls for the needed Pokemon. Please check if it was all ok!!"
Mike come forward to take the box from the girl. Then he found there were 11 PokeBall, and a cage containing the chickens.
"I will leave them in your care now, Mr. Mike. Take good care for them," said the girl, then took her tricycle and leave.
Mike then took the Hens first toward the coop. Then release them there. He also filled up the trough with chicken feed, and water.
Mike then stood in the coop, observe the chickens going about running towards the feed and start eating. While eggs lay by the hen without a rooster, those eggs would be unfertilized and can't be hatch.
Only eggs laid after mating with a rooster could produce chicks. This is also why he buy a rooster specially.
The 10 hens are healthy adults, so from tomorrow onwards he will have a steady supply of eggs. So he can expect 10~12 eggs daily.
"One doesn't sell for much, but if he was able to produce 12 at a time he can sell them or can store them for himself to cook later on.
He doesn't have much problem with money now. So he will save the eggs for himself. When the Miltank and Mareep, as well as the corp's he was planning to sow he can get enough money for himself. Specially the milk form Miltank.
With that done Mike then come with Meganium toward the shack where he will have to place the Pokemons.
He release them. After he light, come three different types of Pokemon. The bull Pokemon with three tails Tauros. The pink cow Pokemon Miltank, and finally the sheep Pokemon Mareep.
Pokemon after release, begin to check out there surrounding, they are hatch and care from the ranch previously.
They are also told about there new place, that they will be going, so the Pokemon were very mild and curious.
"Hello! Everyone, my name is Mike, I am the owner of this ranch. I will be taking care of you all. Nice to meet you." Mike seeing them waiting for him to talk said.
Then with the gentle Auras from Meganium, begin to make arrangements for the new resident.
He check all the Pokemon. They are all at Rookie Rank. As they were mostly used for there products, they didn't have that much higher Rank or moves.
Mike then took them toward there resting place to rest. Mike get advice from the old man Jackson. That the Miltank and Mareep will be ready for milking and shearing wool in a week.
He then has a week to get practice done about how to shear Mareep wool. He was going to the Fluffy Ranch to get experience about this form the old man Jackson.
Milking was going to be easier because as the Miltank are very intelligent they can perform the machine to get done.
He was going to level up the Miltanks move, Milk Drink. He has a theory, that it was going to help, produce more high quality milk.
Milk of Miltanks, the higher the grade of milk, the higher income amount. He was going to make all his Miltank have a higher Rank, to maximize the amount of profit he can get.
He then move back toward the coop again. He took a pitchfork from the side, then wearing a brown overalls, then look like a farmer. Being to move the hay that was piled by the door to a corner.
Finished with his task, he glance around to make sure everything was moved. Then he set the pitchfork aside exited the coop, carefully closing the door to prevent hens from escaping.
He told his Pokemon to move around the ranch to get themselves familiar with the surrounding.
He gets home, do a quick shower. Place his brown overalls to the side. Then he get ready for to make food for himself as well for his Pokemon.
He was going to use the outdoor kitchen, so he can have all his Pokémon together to eat. He was going to make a feast to celebrate the opening of the ranch.
He make fruits salad from the berries he got for some of his Pokemon. Then he make grilled steak and smoked ribs, fried chicken as well as ramen for himself.
Then he get all his Pokémon to gather around. He then give his Pokemon what they wanted.
He make a good amount of food, as he now has many Pokemon to look after. He also get the new addition of Miltank, Mareep and Taurus.
In the afternoon Mike just laying in the sitting chairs, that was placed outside with other chairs that was also there.
He watched the Pokemon playing around or practicing with each other. This group mostly composed of Heracross, Ursaring and the new Farfetch'd.
He was going to start working on farm from tomorrow onwards. He was going to have his Pokemon help him with working.
