Capítulo 120: Signs

[Adrian's POV]

"What do you think happened to Johan?" Thesa asked after she finished processing a document. She adjusted her black off-shoulder dress, then turned to Adrian. "Have you called him?"

"Yeah. I already did," Adrian replied, his anxious hand tapping against his desk. "But Han's not answering my texts and calls."

"What in the world happened to that child?"

Adrian's eyes darted to the digital clock. It's already quarter to eleven. He had taken several illegal breaks just to check if Johan responded to his messages. If he was absent because he's sick, then he would understand. Just a word from him would be enough to appease his troubled mind. Adrian jolted when something poked his side and Christy rolled her chair beside him.

"What happened?" Christy murmured and set down her head on top of her crossed arms on his desk, eyes already looking drowsy from lack of sleep. "I heard you and Nick got in a heated discussion."
