[Adrian's POV]
"What's there to talk about?" Rhia asked, her voice full of venom. With a sneer, she shook her head and took a step back. "We have nothing to talk about, Adrian. Everything is clear to me that night. So if you'll excuse me, I need to leave."
"Rhia—"
"I just attended a mass. Don't make me commit a sin in front of the church." Rhia scanned him from head to toe, then she looked him in the eyes again. "Just looking at you makes me want to. But I won't. You are not worth it."
Adrian sucked in a deep breath as she turned away. As much as he wanted not to let her words affect him, the sharp fangs of her resentment bit into his flesh until it crushed his bones with guilt and made his conscience bleed on the ground. He gripped the leash and trailed after her. "Rhia, I'm sorry! I know what I did was wrong, but—!"
Writer's Block is waving so I'm squeezing out what I can. I'm also starting to hate the alternating POV, so I might try something different next volume.
