Capítulo 81: 80. The Video

RuQian returned to the party where everyone was gathered. It looked like even the business discussions were over. People were trying to leave. 'Wait. From when did parties end this early? Oh right this is still a kid's party. *Sigh* Do I really have to deal with these people? Whatever, let's power through RuQian, fighting!'

RuQian quietly entered the hall and walked towards the bar where Lan Xie and Amy were waiting for her. "You both have been here since I left?"

"What do you want us to do Qian Qian? It's so boring here. All that those oldies talk about is business, all the women here are talking about their husbands and jewellery and all our classmates are talking about you and that story about that Wan girl. It's so boring~"

"What Xiao Xie is trying to tell you is that everybody apart from us is having a nice time, so we can have a good time after going home." Amy summed up Lan Xie's whining.

"Oh." Lan Xie's eyes lit up when Amy mentioned home. "Qian Qian we still haven't given you our gifts, have we? We can do it when we go back home." Lan Xie started jumping at the thought of presents, "Ooh we can open all the presents from the guests too."

RuQian held Lan Xie's arms to stop her from jumping, "Stop trying to test the strength of your heels now, they're too good to be broken. Do you want to break your shoes again? Did you think I forgot what you did last time?"

Lan Xie pouted, "You shouldn't remember such things, Qian Qian."

"Why not?"

"Because I won't be able to repeat them!"

"*Sigh* Xiao Xie, I seriously don't have the energy to run to the hospital again this time."

"What are you guys talking about?" Amy felt confused.

"Nothing!"

"What nothing? I'll tell you Amy. A few years back, auntie and uncle took Lan Xie forcibly to a party. I couldn't go because well, no one knew me. Lan Xie was so angry that I wasn't with her that she started throwing a tantrum. When auntie and uncle still didn't let her leave the party, she started jumping in her heels, which broke along with her leg. She broke her leg to get out of a party. I was called to the hospital in the middle of the night, because this idiot did not allow them to treat her if I wasn't the one holding her hand."

"Wow. I knew you were a drama queen but I had no idea it was this bad." Amy laughed.

"Oh please, this wasn't that bad, there is way more. Once she.."

"Enough. What is this, embarrass Lan Xie day? Stop mocking me." Lan Xie puffed up her cheeks in anger.

RuQian pinched her cheeks, smiling "Why would I have to embarrass you when you do it to yourself, Xiao Xie?" Amy and RuQian laughed at Lan Xie's pouted face.

Someone bumped into RuQian, a thud and crash sounded from behind her.

RuQian turned around to see Lu Xu Mei sprawled down on the floor, her dress soaked in the drink that was probably in her hand. The entire hall turned silent at the sound.

"S.. sorry." Lu Xu Mei was almost in tears.

RuQian tilted her head to the side while Lan Xie rubbed her chin in thought. No one came to her help.

"Um sorry." Lu Xu Mei tried again. This time Chang Min came to help her up from the floor.

"How can you be so heartless to not even help her up?" Chang Min was still angry at how he had been treated by RuQian earlier. He was the school hunk and everyone catered to him. Most of the girls fell for his charms. RuQian had repeatedly rejected him even when he was the one that was chasing her and now she had almost broken his arm. 'A slut like her should have been happy that I even casted a single glance at her. Who does this bitch think she is?'

"Well, she bumped into me, then she fell on her own, and then she apologised to herself for falling down. I am not blind to not recognize a white lotus when I see one. So I'd rather not touch her, I don't want her germs." RuQian showed her perfectly manicured fingers. The guests burst into laughter. Even if they hadn't seen how Lu Xu Mei had fallen down, they had seen how she started acting pitifully as soon as she fell. She didn't even try to get off of the floor.

"This is the worst white lotus act I've ever seen."

"I know, even I can act better and my employees say I have facial paralysis."

"Isn't she Su Ting's bastard daughter?"

"Oh right, that's why she looks familiar."

"I get it. She was trying to make the real daughter look bad in her own party."

"She must be jealous. That Su Ting is no match for old master Zhang after all."

"She was trying to talk to me about becoming an actress."

"With this kind of acting? Hah."

The guests didn't really try to whisper. Everyone was loud enough for Lu Xu Mei to hear their taunts. They had all been a part of the social group for a long time and had seen many women as such and knew very well whose side to stand on to reap the benefits. Lu Xu Mei started crying at their words.

Chang Min tried to console her, "You are just a slut. I have proof of what kind of a slut you are and how you sleep around with any man you find." The guests gasped when they heard his outrageous words. Old master Zhang was going to interfere but was stopped by his secretary. The screen near the podium turned on and a video started playing.

"But how can I make someone else my girlfriend, when I have you Mei Mei?" A male voice resounded in the room.

"Min ge, I really would not have told you to do something like this. You just need to have her wrapped around your finger to make sure she will not use her shares." In the video, Lu Xu Mei looked up at Chang Min fluttering her eyelashes at him leaning her body against him trying to entice him.

"I just have to get close to Su RuQian and get those share papers right?"

"Yes, if you can get hold of those papers, we can change them to my name and we can be rich even before you inherit your father's company."

"Okay, I am only doing this for you."

"I know Min ge." Lu Xu Mei rubbed herself on Chang Min. He pulled her closer by her waist, started kissing her and pressing her breast. The video cut off before it got worse. Some of the guests and the teenagers gagged when they saw the video.

RuQian smirked slightly, "I really don't think I was the slut in the video."
