Why do they get the privilege to be the absolute strongest? Why do things always work out so perfectly for them because they got hit by a truck?

Why does the Demon Lord want to destroy the world? How do a bunch of high schoolers suddenly stomach the act of killing? It's all the same old story, with marginally different endings.
