Capítulo 1: Chapter 1 overwatch

Robert turned off the TV and took a deep breath, finally realizing what kind of world he was in. This was a Marvel world, a place where gods and demons clashed and strange, fantastic events happened one after the other. Here, the first superhero wasn't a soldier, but Iron Man, Tony Stark—arrogant, brash, and widely celebrated. Captain America was still frozen in ice, unknown to the world, leaving Stark as the only recognized superhero.

Robert, however, was neither a superhero nor a soldier. Instead, he was the CEO of Overwatch Pictures, a company that had recently rocketed to fame with the success of Soldier: 76, a movie based on a virtual hero that Robert had created. The movie made billions at the box office, transforming Soldier: 76 into a widely recognized name and Robert into a celebrity in the entertainment world. But that didn't mean much to him. To Robert, it was all a performance. Fame wouldn't protect him if he got in the crosshairs of any of Marvel's real villains. Unlike Stark, he wasn't invincible. He was just an ordinary guy with a knack for storytelling and a taste for gaming.

When he had first arrived in this world—an accident of time travel—Robert found himself with a unique opportunity. Before his sudden trip through time, he had been a fan of Overwatch. Now, in this Marvel world, he could bring the characters he loved to life. With little effort, he sent Overwatch movie scripts to the company every few months. He hired the best actors, used cutting-edge technology, and let the stories unfold on the big screen.

Despite the massive success of Soldier: 76, Robert knew it couldn't match the allure of Iron Man. Tony Stark was real; he fought to protect his country and family, while Soldier: 76 was confined to a screen. This reality made Robert's achievements feel fleeting and somewhat empty. Deep down, he felt as though he was constantly being watched, that danger was never too far off. In a world of heroes and villains, fame and wealth could quickly become a liability.

As he lay on his couch, sipping a strong cup of tea to help him focus, his phone rang. Ignoring it, he continued contemplating his future in this world. But the phone rang again, displaying the name of his assistant, Lucy Berrent—a no-nonsense, efficient woman who rarely called twice unless it was urgent.

With a sigh, Robert answered, "Lucy, what's the emergency?"

"Mr. Stark is here. He's waiting for you at the office," Lucy said hurriedly. "He said he'd only wait ten minutes. If you're not here, he'll leave you a 'unique gift.'"

"Ten minutes?" Robert scoffed. "No way. Tell him he'll have to settle for five!"

Hanging up, Robert frowned. Stark had been trying to reach him yesterday, and now he was at the office in person. Robert wanted nothing to do with Iron Man or any superhero, for that matter. He understood the risks of associating with people like Stark. Being around superheroes usually meant getting pulled into their chaotic lives—or worse, getting targeted by their enemies. But he also knew Stark well enough to guess that the "gift" he mentioned was probably something explosive. Tony Stark was notorious for his flair for destruction, and Robert wasn't eager to test how much of that reputation was true.

Outside, his driver, Thomas Oliver, waited by a sleek black sports car, a Lamborghini that Robert barely recognized. He'd never been one for cars or any status symbols, preferring video games and solitude. But as the CEO of a major company, appearances mattered.

The ride through Manhattan was quick, and soon Robert was standing before the imposing Shouwang Building, Overwatch Pictures' headquarters. The Overwatch logo shone brightly above, an emblem of his success, but to Robert, it was also a reminder of the countless dangers that came with his position in this world.

A crowd of reporters had gathered outside, eager to catch a glimpse of Iron Man. Security guards were busy keeping them at bay. If only Robert had anticipated this, he would have arranged a backdoor entrance. But now, he had no choice but to walk through the crowd.

Clearing his throat, Robert spoke to the reporters. "I'm heading in to meet Mr. Stark. I'm sure you'll get your chance to interview us both afterward. So, please cooperate and give us some space."

The reporters grudgingly moved aside, allowing him to enter. Inside, he took the elevator to the 18th floor, where he found Stark lounging on the couch, humming a tune as he stared at a poster of Soldier: 76 on the wall. Stark's suit was immaculate, a picture of confidence.

"Robert," Tony Stark greeted with his trademark smirk, "you certainly know how to make an entrance. I was beginning to think you wouldn't show."

"Tony," Robert replied coolly, "you only gave me ten minutes. I thought I'd make it interesting."

Stark chuckled. "I like your style. But let's get to business. I have a proposition for you."

Robert crossed his arms, wary. "A proposition?"

Stark leaned forward. "Your Soldier: 76—it's a hit. But why stop there? Why not bring Overwatch into reality? I can help you make Overwatch more than just a movie."

Robert raised an eyebrow. "You want Overwatch to exist in the real world? That's… ambitious. And risky."

"Think about it," Stark continued. "This world isn't safe. Aliens, supervillains… they're not going anywhere. Your movies inspire people, but imagine if Overwatch could actually protect them. We could build real suits, real defenses, and train real people."

Robert frowned. As tempting as the idea was, the risks were clear. He had seen enough of this world to know that involving himself in any superhero business could put his life in jeopardy.

"What's in it for you?" Robert asked.

Stark grinned. "Let's just say I like a good challenge. Plus, I see potential in Overwatch—more than just a movie franchise. You're sitting on a gold mine, Robert, and together, we could turn it into something unprecedented."

Robert hesitated. If he said yes, he'd be stepping into the world of heroes, a world full of dangers he was unequipped to handle. But if he said no, he'd be turning down a chance to make Overwatch more than just a film.

Finally, he sighed. "I'll think about it, Stark. But this isn't a decision I'll make lightly."

Stark nodded, seemingly satisfied. "That's all I ask. Just remember—you have the power to change this world. Use it wisely."

As Stark stood up to leave, he turned back to Robert. "Oh, and don't worry. I'm not leaving you any 'gifts' this time. Consider this a friendly visit."

Once Stark left, Robert sank into his chair, overwhelmed by the encounter. He had come to this world with nothing but his knowledge of Overwatch, hoping to stay on the sidelines. Yet now, he was being pushed toward a decision that could change everything.

The phone buzzed again. It was Lucy. "Mr. Stark left already?"

"Yes," Robert replied, still deep in thought. "He just left. And… he gave me something to think about."

Lucy paused. "Should I prepare anything?"

"No, not yet. But keep your eyes open. Things might be different around here soon."

After hanging up, Robert stared at the Soldier: 76 poster on his wall. Stark's words echoed in his mind: "You have the power to change this world." Perhaps it was time to stop hiding and take charge of his destiny.

The world of heroes was no place for the faint-hearted. But if there was one thing Robert knew, it was that the game wasn't over yet. And this time, he was ready to play.
